This was Peaceful until Police antagonized the Protestors. We're not New to the concept of Police Brutality. Just look at Protests across the world. Whenever there is a demonstration all of a sudden the Kenyan Gov't Seems to care about Businesses that they already overtax & have more proposals lying in Parliament to increase their Taxes. The very businesses they have no Problem shutting down in revenge for not supporting them or being their allies. The Ever Rising High Cost Of Fuel, High Cost of Living, The Rising in Crime, Denial of HELB Loans to Students that's being syphoned to 'Hustler Funds', Lose of Currency Value(Kshs), Lack of Accountability is affecting every Kenyans. The Gov't always has Billions of funds to award Loyal Political Losers together with their Spouses with Lucrative Gov't Positions but no Funds to subsidize Cost of Living. There has never been any Freedom or Gov't Accountability across the world without Mass Protests from any gov't Inherited from Colonial Rule. Kenya did not achieve it's independence by being 'Nice' & 'Obedient' to the Colonial Gov't. They had to fight for it. They also had to Fight the Systemic Authoritarian Gov't Oppression they Inherited after Independence to achieve some level of Democracy. These Issues will not go away by playing 'Niceties' & 'footsies' with the Gov't. The Gov't wants Protestors to 'request' for 'Permission' This is Gov't Oppression. The sacrifices that these People make and continue to make will enjoyed by everyone whenever they are implemented. From these Protests we will make Policies against Police Brutality. That's becoz we understand that in an Us vs Them Political recipe for chaos at some point in the Future we might become the 'Them' and it might be us holding those Protests, Getting Detained and Whooped by Police just for merely demanding Fairness and Better living conditions
