It's funny how that mother thinks it'll be easier for her kids to access weed when it's already very easy for them to get from the black market. But if the prices are right on the legal side, the black market will shrink and the legal market will thrive with ID checks, like Alcohol/Tabaco .
How does being legal translate to easier access by children? Do they not have greater access being illegal? I just don't get it. ID's are checked multiple times before a sales transaction. Underage would have a better chance with buying Alcohol which has been legal for 80 years. Enough is enough for the war on Cannabis.
Legalizing marijuana is overwhelmingly popular with the majority of people in virtually every poll. Marijuana has been legal in DE for medicinal use since 2011. There are proven studies on THC and CBD's medicinal benefits for pain relief, cancer patients, depression, seizure prevention, etc. etc. etc. the list goes on. There are thousands of medicinal marijuana users already in Delaware.
CBS 3 should report on all the benefits of legalizing marijuana instead of finding random people in parking lots who have "concerns".
Shame on Carney for not signing and passing the laws himself. He's slowed down the decriminalization and medical use here in Delaware and now still hasn't learned enough about the topic to support recreational use and, in my mind, is showing HIGH ignorance. Hard to trust a governor with SUCH IGNORANCE. Are we going to keep trusting government officials to GOVERN us who are THIS IGNORANT????? Go away Carney. I DON'T TRUST YOU! SHAME ON YOU! YOU ARE NOW CEMENTED IN THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY! You should have signed it and helped inform your state of the facts of the cannabis issue. GO AWAY! Thank God no one in Delaware should worry about possessing and relaxing after work with a puff! SHAME ON CARNEY!
Addiction: Addiction involves withdrawal symptoms that are so severe, they compel continuous use to be avoided. Marijuana doesn't have them so is not addictive. – That's one of the many things consumers like about it.
Children: Research shows teen cannabis consumption has FALLEN in the states that have re-legalized cannabis. Legal, licensed vendors don't sell to minors.
Accidents: Cannabis is not alcohol. The preponderance of the research shows marijuana consumption is not a significant cause of auto accidents. โ In 2015, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), found that while drunken driving dramatically increased the risk of getting into an accident, there was no evidence that using cannabis heightened that risk.
Poor communities: Science and widespread experience have shown cannabis has no notable harms. Hence, every person (including the poor) who chooses near harmless cannabis over addictive, very harmful alcohol, improves their health significantly – as well as the lives of their family and community.
As the founder of the Great American Marijuana Bike Tour, I'm honored to add Delaware to the route! I'll see you in August!
Her science is solid because "ya never know…"

These are bogus "objections." – From the report:
