@CJGara A) This is a CBS Golf podcast. CBS is a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR corporate partner of the PGA Tour. These guys arenāt trying to play the āneutralā card when discussing PGA vs LIV. Theyāre professionally and finically invested in the continued success of the PGA Tour ā if you canāt understand that, i canāt help you. B) Yes, they did know ā and if they somehow inexplicably didnāt, they need to find a different agent. Their agent shouldāve thoroughly explained to them all the āconsā of joining LIV, everything theyād be giving up ā¦ and just because LIV said āoh donāt worry, we have the best lawyers so weāre going to win on all the legal issuesā šš» ā¦ thatās on them for just blindly believing. The majors arenāt keeping them out (and they shouldnāt, it doesnāt benefit their product to do so), but like always they have a qualifying process for their tournaments. meet the requirements and youāre in. itās arrogant to expect the usga, pga, augusta national, r&a to blow up all of their rules and guidelines just because LIV wants them to. We do agree that we want to see ALL of the best players in the world competing against each other as often as possible ā¦ and thatās why monopolies are a good thing in sports. Having two watered down tours hurts the game and fan experience ā¦ itās also why brooks koepka has been working the back channels hard to see if he has any path back to the PGA Tour.
It honestly surprises me that u guys are not able to take a step back and realize that u blatantly have a certain level of distain for LIV & the players that have gone over there & that that is clouding ur judgement. Let me start with Markās comment that the LIV guys knew what they were signing-up for. That is not entirely true, because they did think that they were at least going to b able play in the majors & the Ryder Cup. In my opinion, they absolutely should b able 2 play in those, because when all the dust settles, I feel that most golf fans want 2 c the best golfers in these events, PERIOD!! Then please remember, that our money or our time/viewership pays for EVERYTHING in golf, directly or indirectly. So we deserve to get what we want, which again is to c the absolute best players in the world, face each other as many times as possible! To that point, Clearly Koepka & the rest of the LIV players have shown that they are without a doubt, in the top level of golfers in the world, FACT!! That really should b the end of the ādiscussion/argumentā š
Pistachios and herbal tea in the evening Patrick
The rest of the liv players have shown what exactly they have about 5 or 6 good players .are you a bot or do you no possess critical thinking?
