Yup, for us it's that same deck that we love so much that will have to be pried out of our cold dead hands, LOL! That's always my response when people ask what deck I recommend for a beginner to tarot: "The deck you can relate to and actually love to use." I never purchased any version of the SKT by Benebell because it never resonated enough to buy it. Yes, I too had a TON of decks that I purchased because everyone else did and gushed over them so much…only to sell them at a loss or give them away. I've learned not to get decks at first glance unless something is truly love at first sight like the Pablo Robledo TdM, but that's because that journey taught me what I really do and don't like for tarot art. I don't do a lot of shadow work, but occasionally I find that I need to explore something. Oh, I didn't think of those, but I can't stand those collaboration decks either. I also don't like ones like the Voyager, Muse or Textured Tarot…nor the Phalarcos because it's just not cohesive to me. I agree that TdM are my favorite pip decks, but that's why I emphasized that the Vacchetta is my favorite non-TdM pip deck since I was doing the original tag too and it asks for your favorite TdM deck.Oh, Lenormand, very good answer! Yes, that definitely slaps me in the face! Funny, I regretted selling all of my copies of the Llewellyn Victorian Fairy Tarot, and I did back the Kickstarter but as I kept looking at the art I realized why I sold all of my copies of the original one and I cancelled my pledge. It was my working deck for a couple of years, but the art no longer resonates with me, I'd rather use the Enchanted Forest Tarot. I loved your answers, this was such a fun tag! Many blessings my dear friend! πβ¨π
I love watching these videos and always love to hear when readers Donβt click with a deck they have moved on from their collection β€β€ no use keeping a deck that isnβt for you β€. So many decks I havenβt seen.
Hello Mascha ππ i very much enjoyed watching your video π a great format and very interesting to have you interviewed β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ. I must say i was blown away to see your custom made Payen deck on question 19 π. I feel so grateful πππ. And to add spices to the debate over the Vachie deck… I ve been doing a supperposition of rectified Vachie pictures and the Payen. For the Emperor: the lines match exactly… Possibly the same woodblocks π±! Thank you Mascha for your untertaining and very informative contents! Always great to learn from you! π
