I have been a long term Buprenorphine/Naloxone patient for 5 years and cannabis has helped in ways I didn’t know were possible. As someone in recovery it was engrained in me that MAT is not being sober. I couldn’t disagree more, the fact that people are told this just creates shame and relapses. As long as your working your recovery in a way that works for you it doesn’t matter if you are using other medicines to help. I chose to get off traditional MAT and have been using cannabis for almost 1 1/2 years and got a medical card in Utah. I was not on MAT just because I’m an addict, I have legitimate medical conditions. If you’re watching this video and are considering this for pain management, it helps significantly in my overall health. As someone with a disability and chronic nerve pain cannabis has enabled me to live life again and not spending tons of money seeing doctors who push pharmaceuticals. Not one doctor in my life has ever recommended cannabis but they always push one prescription after the other. Just my two cents.
This actually makes sense to me over a long period of time where reg pain meds don't help they actually make you worse and helps nothing with side effects FYI multiple spinal surgeries with implants and osteoarthritis so I started in 02 and know what pain meds do (methadone was the last 9 years but on many types for around 15 years )and trust me suffering with pain is better than addiction and I have smoked weed from mid 20's for 20+years and I can still stop and start anytime with only vivid dreams and restless sleep for a few days and melatonin covers this detox easy so what would you take for your pain meds I only wish I could find and grow a strain that works for me 🤔😏😒I'm still searching but I no longer deal with addiction so my quality of life is definitely better off legacy pain meds designed to be highly addictive and dependents on a doc every month
I recently had bilateral hip replacement and apart from a morphine block for the actual procedure, I had no opioids due to previous allergic reactions. My secret, cannabis oil. I was already a cannabis patient for chronic pain and depression. I got through the whole post operative process with Panadol, ice packs and cannabis oil, and it was very tolerable…..enough said. 🙂
Best Strains for pain? Hashplant, gorilla glue, green crack kush, silver haze, Afghani, grease monkey, bruce banner, red headed stranger, super skunk #1, lemon g, Nepalese hash, black Romulus. Can anyone help add to this?
I am wanting to make an oil infusion(sweet Almond or Coconut) for pain. Is it better to infuse fresh or dried bud? I have also seen where they warm the buds in the oven before putting into oil.
Thankyou for sharing

I really appreciate these frank honest conversations that we couldn't have even 10 years ago. We don't have to hide it or be ashamed any more.

What works for pain following total knee replacement? I simply can NOT use opioids.
