One of the things I miss most since going low-carb is hot breakfast cereals — oatmeal/porridge, cream of wheat/semolina, and …

  1. I made yesterday abs didn’t follow the recipe o added ginger and nutmeg and that was overwhelming. I did eat it but I’m going to follow the exact recipe today including adding the almond flour at the end. Thanks so much for this alternative!

  2. I saw your recipe this morning and made it immediately. So delicious! I did have to leave out the Chia seeds because I can't eat them with dentures and I added the almond meal with the dry ingredients and used date paste as a sweetener. So good! The Hemp hearts really add a unique creamy taste. I discovered them recently and first tried Hemp Heart Tabboleh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJk0DGfg3_Y. I hadn't had Tabbouleh for the almost 3 years I've been on a Paleo diet. I'm looking forward to more Paleo recipes using Hemp hearts. Thank you so much for this!

  3. Woman, you're a genius! This was delicious! This is what I did differently. I didn't have any almond milk so I used half and half. I added in a bit more of the half and half to make it a bit runnier. Used Lakanto Monk Fruit/Erythritol sweetener x2 teaspoons, 1 teaspoon almond butter. Garnished with frozen blueberries. I couldn't believe how delicious and creamy this turned out. Great recipe!

  4. I have made this and it is really good. I want to try it now with a brown sugar substitute with the cinnamon. Just like my old favorite oatmeal flavorings. I just want you to know that I put this into my Carb Manager app and the calories are only 736 with 4 grams of net carbs. I am going to make this right now but I am going to cut it in half as I only want a snack. That cuts the calories down to about 368 with 2 grams of net carbs. I don't count the flavorings.

  5. Thanks for sharing this.. I make a similar grain free porridge using rolled oats, hemp. Flax and chia seeds; cooked in water and soy milk. I substitute the sweetener and flavors for banana and /or peanut butter. Top off a small serving with a dollop of plain yogurt ..wards off hunger for many hours

  6. I miss oatmeal so much. I'll try this.

Update: I made this. I wasnt sure about it at first but I'm eating it now and it's really good!!! I didnt have flax . This will definitely help satisfy my craving for steel cut oatmeal.

  7. nice recipe. will def try this. not sure if you are aware but that sweetener isn't real good. it has 55% Maltodextrin. Dr Berg has a video on it & also Keto Connect have one. they do a blood test with all sweeteners & Maltodextrin was the worst. almost same as sugar.

  8. The evening I watched your video, I went to the kitchen and measured all the dry ingredients into a canning jar so I could have it the next morning. Cooking it slowly on low made this so creamy that I just sprinkled a little of the almond flour in and saved the rest for future oatmeals. Since that morning, I have a jar filled with your recipe which I have enjoyed several times. Thank you for this wonderful recipe!!

  9. Hi Anna, I made this and loved it. I posted my pics of it on Instagram. I added more sweetner and cinnamon. I like it sweet! Anyway this is a great recipe as we head into Fall here. Thanks!
