  1. Hello, how can I use fasting for health correction if there is no extra fat in my body? (My BMI is on lower threshold of normal. I'm lean, active and eat clean). I know ketosis and aurophagy can be very helpful for my health condition but how to do it safely? Thank you

  2. I jbought the newest Keto Mojo meter a week ago. I've currently been fasting for 42 hours (and counting). My glucose level has been 94-97. Today it was 60, and I got a Hypo warning. Is 60 bad? Should I go off the fast? Ketones are 3.4 (GKI 0.9)

  3. I was feeling so low with long covid and adrenal fatigue until I found intermittent fasting! As I’ve seen my gut health improve, energy levels skyrocket, I’ve also seen a massive improvement in my mental health. But this has been particularly apparent after the longer fasts, the 3 day water fast was a game changer for me. It’s like I saw the world through a different more clear and calm lens afterwards! Thanks for all your information and help Dr Mindy 🙏

  4. I work 4 nights a week. This involves a lot of walking. On our 15min break I'm starving. I usually have a small orange, or an apple. How would I incorporate fasting?

  5. Just found you. Where have u been hiding. Im 64 and 14stone 2 lbs. Should be 11 stone max for my height my dr said. Ive done 16 hours fasts regularly to help ballance my blood sugar ( type 2 diabetic). I'm trying the 36 hour fast from today. Last eat 4pm. Let u know how it goes after my first 36 hour fast. Thank you 🎉

  6. I recently done 72 hours and a cyst I had in my wrist for about a year has completely disappeared, wow I had no idea that would happen. I just thought I'd share that with you.

  7. Heard you on DOAC podcast. Excellent. Been thinking about using cannabis oil. Made from extra virgin oil. 3 day of 72 hour fast to help me get through the day. It’s normally potent so would have to chill a home that day but figured it would help with the hunger pains. That podcast was the first time I heard anyone mention that use can use Fat based products while fasting.

  8. Just found your channel today as I’m getting back on the IF wagon. I lost about 25 pounds from December to March using IF 18:6 plus diabetic-type diet. It was amazing! Then I started cheating a bit with carbs, even though I was still on IF. I was able to maintain my weight loss since then but now I need to lose another 20+ pounds to get down to my ideal weight to eliminate my snoring problem which is impacting my sleep. Really don’t want to go down the sleep study/cpap route. I’m hoping losing weight will be the solution. I’m 63 & really noticed weight gain, difficulty losing weight & then snoring since 10-12 years ago at menopause. IF was the only thing that has worked long term! My only limitation with a ketogenic diet is bile acid malabsorption since my gallbladder was removed decades ago. I can’t eat pork, beef or dark meat poultry without it going straight through my gut. I’m hoping that by losing the rest of my excess weight & longer fasting will help. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  9. Hi Dr. Mindy!

Are there anyone who looked at gut/digestive problems and its effect on the psoas muscle? The reason I ask, this is my first week of trying fasting, after I saw you on the podcast "The Diary of a CEO. I've been struggling with IBS and also a very stiff psoas for 5-6 years now, and no low foodmap or physical therapy has helped. I love physical activity, but my body shutts down, and I have 20% unused lung capasity only pain and no energy. After watching your podcast and videos, I remember I said in 2019 to my then doctor, " I feel better without food" I would do alpine skiing, and then after a coke, I would almost fall a sleep in the chair lift. Last Monday i skipped breakfast, and stopped eating at around 6-7pm, did the same Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday I ate a big breakfast and lunch and then fasted for 25 hours until Saturday afternoon. What I realised this morning when ate gluten free pankcakes, with berries, maple suryp and black coffee, It's not the blood sugar, my body produces mass amounts of cortisol after breakfast for years now. I felt terrible, but I did some strenght excercises with restitance bands, when squatting something happened to my left hip and pelvic area, somehing let go. I went biking 4 hours later, and I could feel it straight away, for the first time in 7 years I could really push myself and feel no pain, only energy, I rode 44km, and could easily have ridden 88km. When I came home I said to myself, I don't care about major fat loss, I just want to feel this good when I bike, play tennis or ski. But yes I could loose some belly- and upper body fat. Thank you, this just might be "the push over the edge" my body needs to start to heal and re-balance. Best regards Edmund

  10. Can Dr Mindy do a video about HIV and fasting? Am from the poorest part of Africa, HIV+ whose staple is mostly carbs. I'm at lost at what to do to improve my health. Am thinking of Omading thereby eating carbs and veggies once a day.

  11. Dr Mindy is my hero! Fast like a girl is a MUST READ! I’m 41 and have been struggling to loose weight for years! I’ve lost 7 pounds in 9 days fasting. I feel incredible! high energy, focused and my mood is high on life everyday since I started. GAME CHANGER

  12. Hi Dr. Mindy. Brand new here just found you in the last several days. I am a 63 year old with ADHD and I’ve always been a natural faster because I haven’t ever eaten breakfast. So I have been consciously intermittent fasting for years. How are fast though and I absolutely noticed a positive side effect from my brain. My question for you is I have a son who would benefit from this but who is on Lexapro and Adderall . Of course, because of the Adderall it’s easy for him to fast does Adderall or any stimulant medication raise your blood glucose levels or insulin levels?

  13. Thank you for your video's. I fast and my body is like used to it. I'm not hungry till afternoon. I have one meal a day. I have lost some weight. I have more to loose, but I feel better in my T-shirts. Lab showed going through menopause and I have fibromyalgia like symptoms. What are your thoughts of B1 or a supplement to help? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

  14. Q&A. Hello Dr. Mindy.

I am type 2 diabetic, I want to try intermittent fasting. My sugar level when I wake up is extremely high so should I have breakfast when I wake up and start my fast at 3:00 PM or should I eat my first meal at noon and start my fast at 7:00 PM? Thank you for your reply.

  15. Dr Mindy, do you have any tips for IF while breastfeeding? Is it safe? I really want to start fasting but im worried my milk supply could drop. Thanks!

  16. Not working for me, a menopausal women. I’ve been doing 15 hour fasts daily for about a year while following plant paradox and haven’t lost 1 inch of the extra 5 inches of belly fat that I’ve been carrying for about 15 years now, since menopause. My biggest mistake was not understanding the importance of taking HRT & the huge damage that’s happened to my body & brain without estrogen. I’ve lost 4 inches of height, am tired all the time, no energy to even walk let alone lift weights, have memory issues, am often irritable. I’m angry at the contradictory information given by so many doctors but the worst part is how menopause is really ignored. And how a womans need for estrogen, (FOREVER ) is ignored. I’m just starting Carnivore/ketovore (couple of days) and fortunately have seen a reduction of about 10 points in my fasting blood sugar from about 103-108 to 98-92. And a slight reduction in swelling below my ankle bone . I have RA & Hashimoto’s and I’ve controlled my RA for 30 years by following a gluten free, mostly sugar free Atkins diet, but after menopause everything went downhill. I gained belly fat & lost height and muscle in my thighs, and started having memory issues and became tired all the time. And all of these success stories are from younger non-menopausal women. I’m 69, and the last 15 years have physically/mentally been the worst. I’m also giving up caffeine ( have half of what I usually drink) so I’m a wee bit cranky. HA! I’m actually ready to scream. Today’s my 35th wedding anniversary and I’m determined to reclaim my energy, my clarity, my vitality and have the next 30 years be vibrant. I’ll keep trying until I find what works.

  17. Do you have to be keto to get this gama benefit? If you are just low carb and do a 36 hour monk fast followed by next day, just oily fish for breakfast to break fast and eggs or avocado for next meal then nothing til following day. I find it good to keep weight in check but I am not keto.
