I had a benign brain meningioma tumor removed a year ago and now I’m left with undiagnosed headaches. The doctors neurologist neurosurgeon‘s are all recommending I take Keppra/Vimpat . I’m trying to avoid those so hopefully foods and nutrition plus fasting will help.
I typically have a seizure every 40 days and still haven’t found a cure. I’m taking keppra and it doesn’t seem to help. Today I’m officially going to start taking vitamins B12, D3, Biotin, and Magnesium. I’m also going to start a healthier diet as I’ve always struggled eating as a kid. If I can at least give over 80 days without having a seizure I will forever be thankful for your advice. I’ll keep you guys updated on how my progress goes!
Thankyou so much and i'm happy i found this i am vitamin d deficient and i just want to get on the correct diet and take vitamins and take care of myself correctly
I exercise frequenty 6 days a week with 1 day off. I do Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and free weights. I have been on Clabazam and Lacosamide since 2016.
I have had only three seizures from 2016- 2023. Although I would like to get it to zero and do take most of the good foods and vitamins you recommend, what else is there for me to do? I spend 50-50 indoors and outdoors at work due to the kind of work I do in my daily life.
Prior to my brain surgery in 2016 at UCLA I was having seizures constantly either once a month or every three to six months while taking Phenobarbital and Dilantin. I have had epilepsy since I was 6 months. I'm about to be 54 years old in a couple of months.
I would also like to mention that I live a normal life like any other human being and have four beautiful children.
This was so helpful! I have heard that molybdenum can be helpful for certain people who have seizures as it clears out things in our system. Is that not true? But that you should take it sparingly for only a limited amount of time.
Hello doc, my seeking health optimal prenatal contains 100mcg of molybdenum per day. Is that an issue? I don't really feel any kind of trigger from taking it.
I really appreciate all this information provided but I am wondering why keto works so well for epileptic people?? Mainly animal protein lots of cheese and not so many fruits. … 🤔
I've had trouble eating since I was a small child. I've gone days without eating, over the years. My theory is that this could have a lot to do with my seizures but it's literally laughed at, when I speculate.
Hi Doctor. Hope all is well with you. My wife just entered into third trimester of pregnancy. She is taking 1 tablet of iron & folic acid after lunch & 1 tablet of combined calcium citrate malate, vitamin d3, magnesium & zinc after dinner. Could you please suggest me to add any special food or supplement or vitamins to her diet which can contribute to the brain & body development of the growing fetus?
