I think that you will find much more acceptance here in the United States if the product could be sprayed like foam insulation is sprayed. The cost must come down as well. How do you compact the material when you reach the ceiling?
Thank you for this video. I have plans to build a few hempcrete cabins for rental income. Originally I had planned to use strawbale construction which I have used extensively for a few construction projects, and was very happy with the outcome. But hempcrete just seems like an easier method with the same outcome of being natural and of high insulation factor.
I'll participate in a hempcrete workshop prior to construction but I was curious how you compact the very top layer of hempcrete of a framed wall where the roof rafters and sheathing would be in the way to allow for compaction. For example: At 12:14 in your video, how was the top layer compacted for the window framing with the bottom window timber not allowing you to compact the hempcrete from above?? Curious and stumped!!??
Awesome video!❤ Would have liked to see the guys working on the roof more.. how does the roof hold up in snow? Is high a high load? Is the roof on a slight slope? Again, loved the video!
you are the goat. thank you for your very clear and precise description of your building process. love from switzerland! helped a lot with my final project in architecture 🙂
Modulation kits help sales of these hemp buildings. Module components need downloadable templates and molds for bricks and panels as well. How about starting this business model from helping people building their indoor partition walls with hemp bricks? Then progressing to add sliding doors with hemp fiber, … and so on with the concepts of module/molding/components.
Sorry for the question… But why we must put the diagonal bracing please ? the solidity of hempcrate is not enough for the external wall ? Thanks a lot for the video
Hello Sergey, I am Architect From Egypt. Now I am working on my Project depending on agriculture waste. It is like your Hemp. But in this video I can't totally understand system structure of your Hemp. Can you tell me more about this? Thanks for your effort and time Sincerely
Hello, very simple yet informative explanation. You said only suitable cover for hemp is clay, timber, lime, I'm planing to use Cork panels on the outside, as it's natural, waterproof, noise cancelling and breathing well. Have you got any experience with that combination, what do you think about using it. Thank You
Forgot, I plan to use nails as cork attachment instead of the glue
I'm obsessed with hempcrete. Maybe you could make block forms and them make hempcrete blocks (they look like legos). I saw another video with them and they are so fabulous!
Fantastic video. Whats the approx R value when this is complete? You don't need any other insulation or vapour barrier besides this and the lime plaster? Any issues using this with a lightweight steel frame eg rust, etc? Thank you, slava Ukraine – SB

great video, thank you! but what do you use between your timber frame and the concrete slab?
Nice video! Where could I get this type of mixer in estern Europe? Like Latvia, Lithuania?
Came for the name, stayed for the fabulous hair cut and amazing properties of this hemprcrete
wow, thank you !

can you upload a video again without the mind blowing music

Nice to see let in bracing making a come back
Доброго дня. Дайте рецептуру замісу
What did you use to paint/protect the metal on the roof truss joinings?
Do you have any problems with cracking where the timber meets the hempcrete?

Ja, I'd want 16 inch walls in a war zone too!
I hope that the Russians haven't destroyed your house. 😟
Sorry for the question…

Too many talks, making it looks like he is not sure or confident about the work.

Is it possible you could post a link on this mixer you are using, Where can I buy one?, I'm in Ireland. Thank you.
There is already a hemp company in Ireland called HEMPIRE Building Materials Ltd. They are about 20 years old !
Ok bro, how strong is the wall or how long it hardens, can you show us how strong the wall is, knock something into it to see that.👌thx
Nice presentation, thanks for all the details and reasons. Hope you survive the current invasion.
I'm so interested in this!!!!

Great information but you could nix the obnoxious background muzak
I couldn't understand what he was saying, what all did he say he put in the mixer?
thank you for sharing! Is the mixer you're using custom made or is it something I could find in California? What type of mixer is it?

Great material, but it looks way too labor-intensive. I'd want a way to apply and compact it rapidly with high pressure air, like shotcrete.
Thanks for sharing. Very informative.
Sergiy Сердечно дякую! thank you for openly sharing your knowledge, technique and experience. You're amazing! Щастя вам
