I'm not a medical health care professional. However I have to disagree on the cold water immersion thing. The research on this is limited at best, you have quoted one or two studies that show some positive results, that's not really enough to prove its apparent benefits. As someone who competes in triathlons and has swam in open water, you need to be extremely careful with how much cold your body can handle. These Ice baths are incredibly cold and can cause cold shock or hypothermia if you are not acclimatised enough to the extreme temperature. If you enjoy it and it helps you then go for it, it's not for everyone however and people should be aware of the risks before jumping into an ice cold bath for 10 minutes. I personally can't think of anything worse 😂 that or the 5 minute cold shower trend.
Quick question. When you’re researching for something like cold plunges benefits, do you skip over studies that may show a neutral effect. What about studies that show a negative effect. Is it possible that for every scientific or medical problem we’re able to find a study to show the true AND false hypothesis for the same problem ? How is one study favored over another.

Cold water changed my life, it trained me to be more sensitive to dopamine. It formed a callous in my brain that lets me do the hard things in life.
