I think it’s important to discuss some of the mistakes we make when harvesting and ways we can avoid them! MERCH …

Know that if you keep adding clones to your outdoor garden because your seedlings look like runts, you may end up with WAY more cannabis than you, your friends, and extended family can use! When you use smart pots, prepared medium, use veg and flower nutes at the right times, lollypop, and prune like all the willing teachers on Youtube show you watch out! Be careful what you wish for!
Thank God I am able to grow outdoor. Til my state legalized cannabis, I’d 5 years into growing in 2 – 4’x 4’ tents. Lights, fans, meters, ac, Yada Yada Yada. I’ve now done 5 outdoor seasons. Nothing compares with the flavors and/or potency of outdoor grown cannabis. Nor the ease of growing. And especially the ease of drying and curing OUTDOORS! I hang my harvest (whole plants) under the wood lot canopy to dry and kickoff the curing. Perfect sun isolation and airflow and humidity. And I’m not worried about 1 or 2 light rains while hung. Cannabinoids are not water soluble. Just watch weather forecast for optimum favorable – no week long rain periods.
My advice to a novice grower as far as timing (I’m in Mi) harvest. First year grow. Let plants grow til frost . That way you WILL definitely know for future seasons just exactly what a plant looks like when fully mature. You may overripen your plant. But if you KNOW you overripened your plant, then you’ve learned the lesson and will know when future plants are for sure ripe.
First time watching and subscribed. I cut down what I thought was a male plant but was a female that sucks. Do I cut the nitrogen at flowering stage and do pots for phosphorus and potassium mixture
I know everyone here are experts, even though you probably dont have decades of experience. So, you're more than welcome to say I'm wrong about my experience on "long-term storage" Once the product is nicely cured and ready to smoke. I vacuume seal it and place in the freezer. Even after a year or more, it's as fresh as it was the day I froze it. I also vacuume seal it into small individual packets. That way, im not exposing it all to the warmth and oxygen when I want some to smoke. Keep it frozen and air tight
Since i dont have the area to dry 6 plants 1lb+ i just freeze them and i dont have to worry about the stress of drying and curing and i have a live producst in the end.which is top notch
I force flowered my outdoor before putting it out this year. Plus didn't have feminized seed. Trying to avoid harsh weather near harvest time. A frost or 2 is good for me. Little frost makes it the smell super loud. Letting it go longer into fall brings it's own set of challenges. Indoor there is no reason not to harvest at peak.
Also, in my opinion you should see quite a bit of amber, which is a darker bud, without a magnifying glass. U can look at ur plants with a microscope, but the bottom of the plant will look lighter til its right. Then get ur jewelry eye out,and again theses are my opinions,as ive done both. I had better weed in general doing it the dry trim eyeball method. I never use a jewelry eye til it looks done from eyeballs perspective, that being said, im a outdoors only guy,as i live in ky and in an apartment. If i lived in a house or mobile home believe me id love to be able to baby and take care of my plants every day, it would have to be better weed using same genetics, because of that constant care u give them. Once a week is babying them for outdoor, and twice a week is really primping them in outside world as far as im concerned. I always went at least once a week after they got up to two feet
I always settle on topping twice and tie down training and get mostly big buds, one mistake i used to always make was trying to do manicure while freshly pulled, which makes it look worse in my opinion you get rid of too much weight to make it pretty when u really don't know for sure where to cut everything when its wet

Chem needs to be smoked earlier than later but yeah most strains need a good cure for sure

Bird Boy B.S. and Advertising.
Grow Hydro NFT and only use HPS like the Professionals use.
Don't over-trim your flower. And use a trim bin to trim over if going the manual scissors method
Wants his opinion to matter??
Me too gotta practice that harvest patience
