  1. I live in Kansas and travel I-70 almost daily (retired now) and the amount of times I’ve seen people pulled over with all of their stuff scattered about is astronomical, asset forfeiture is the big thing here.

  2. In Michigan, the act of refusing permission to search is considered just cause, and possibly obstruction. I have been dragged from my car, face down in a puddle by the roadside, knee in my back, and a gun pressed to my skull as my car was stripped after saying no. They found nothing. No attorney would take it, because the refusal was my own fault. The script is "do you have cause to search, officer?"

  3. What would they base the "new" second stop on?? Couldnt be a moving violation as you already stopped. That alone should have been enough to notice thats bad/corrupt policing.

  4. This reminds me of something that I vaguely remember. A town near the border in Mexico nearly 95% of all stops cars headed south not North. Been investigation found that they stopped cars going south because they could seize drug money going into Mexico and then the department could keep it. If they caught the drugs going north they had to be destroyed. So they had no interest in actually stopping the drugs they just wanted the money.

  5. So I get my ticket and he turns away……. BY LAW I CAN LEAVE…..????!!!! Ok so I'm starting the car and the cops says Oh 1 other thing ……. I can give him the finger…..? and LEAVE…… Last thing They said oh no it is a second stop……. OK……. FOR WHAT….. Man did not move car did not move…. SO HOW IS IT A 2nd STOP….. Playing this game all day and they just wanted the money…..
