  1. I was told I have a bad sugar problem. I urine showed 500 sugar. Then they took my blood for a1c it was 9. I was told that is very bad. I am just falling apart from the inside out. Have a blessed day.

  2. So glad you are taking care of yourself. I really need to work on myself too. I used to walk 3-5 miles a day, which was great. But sadly, one of my knees is bone on bone, and if I just misstep just a bit, I'm in agony. So, I was told I need a knee replacement, and that truly scares me to death!!!!!

  3. I am 54 I had gestational diabetes with both my son’s and I now have diabetes and take 2 different medications and I will be starting the classes for gastric bypass surgery in December. Anne I thank you for you talking about ur health and diabetes it really is not talked about and it’s so important. Thank you. ❤

  4. I am 28, going to be 29 next week
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2008!
I have insulin resistance for which I take metformin, it seems to help me quite a bit 🙂
About 6 months ago I started the Dexcom cgm and it’s been a game changer for me.
My a1c used to be 9.8 and now it’s 7.3! Still not the best but much better than where I was before!

  5. Gestational Diabetes 27 years ago and been on metformin for about 10 years. What did you ever end up doing for new health insurance? (Sorry if you said and I missed it)

  6. This is also Alpha-1 Awareness Month! I have been diagnosed with Diabetes, Alpha-1 along with other issues/illnesses/diseases! It sucks because I can have a lot of something to eat but then it goes against something else. Like for example I can have as many eggs as I want for one illness but I’m not supposed to eat them due to high cholesterol. It’s like that with a lot of foods! I can’t eat red meat due to gout. Food relates to my gout, diabetes, potassium, magnesium and high cholesterol. It freaking sucks!! I am only 40, at 37 I was diagnosed with Alpha-1. I have always wanted a full work up, for my doctor to find out what I have going on. Why is all of my vitamins deficient why am I always being admitted into the hospital. I haven’t been hospitalized for 5 years but was being hospitalized about 2-3 times a month prior to the 5 years. When I saw the new doctor in 2020 she did a full work up on me! Alpha-1 can affect the lungs, liver, and skin. I am all 3 affected. I only have 50% lung function I’m on oxygen and have to take weekly infusions to stop the progression of my lung disease COPD and Emphysema. The infusions won’t reverse what is already done it will just stop the progression. I an the first one diagnosed in my family. My phenotype/genotype is ZZ. That is the worst one. My aunt found out that she also had Alpha-1. I don’t think I said that Alpha-1 is a rare genetic disease which I did say can affect the lungs, liver, and skin. I’m going to finish watching your video!! Take Care!! 💝🤗💝
