Ive just done this , had some healthy plants in soil + coco but added too many nutrients , i am trying a flush with an organic tea, i may have over watered as well.
Nutrient burn although I havnt tested this but whenever I've had a problem it's always been with phisporus causing a nutrient lockout rather than a nutrient burn. I've fed very small amount of phisporus and it's always caused a lockout of calcium .then everything stops period. Very underted estimated
I use a one part powder fertilizer called general hydroponics maxibloom which has calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate in it which according to the chart is incompatible. i dont understand why a big company like GH would put them together. am i missing something?
My plants look to have orange rust color coming in. I do believe I over fertilized and I think I've eliminated rust fungus. Flushing with water with about a quarter dose of Bush doctors cal mag. It's also affecting leaves closest to the light.
I have this and nutrient lockout too at the moment, due to the extreme humidity and cold weather in my tent has my wondering if I should flush before the coco fibre + a small amount of perlite has dried up as I can't move my plants from the tent due to scrog nets. I top feed plus I have catchment trays underneath? Should I flush immediately or wait till the medium is dry? Any help would he greatly appreciated!
This year 2021. I ignored Peoples Thoughts on adding nutrients during flowering or vegetation stage I even stopped PHM all I did was prepare my area with the compost that’s produced here locally I grew 11ft girls with no added nutrients but the compost I started with never had no deficiencies I tried this as my own little experiment and my plants produced a few pounds apiece just compost and non-P aged water the secret is in the soil you got the right soil or compost and my plants strived all summer long. And when I talk about compost I don’t talk about grass clippings food leftovers this compost comes from dairy cows it is in rolls a water it and turn it daily

If you are growing in soil you build yourself you shouldn't need added fertilizer.
I'd say DON'T follow manufacturer recommendations…. Everyone seems to agree they are always 50-70% higher than they should be

Very good information , allways feed less than recommended on nutrients amounts , and you will not have nutrients burn 😉
I use AN 3 part in a continual harvest, I always feed the plants less than the product recommends, otherwise I get problems
