  1. For medical uses I support (even though myself and a friend of mine had rather negative experiences), but not for recreational use. First of all; that stuff stinks worse than cigarettes and it is especially frustrating having a pothead as neighbor. Also any mind altering drug just creates more stupid people that are too lazy and distracted from what's going on. This is one of the main reasons why Truturd got elected (twice).

  2. The more I hear about your political ideas and policies the more I wish someone like you or even you would run for president with successful crowdfunding that isnt part of the oligarch "royalty", or another amoral sociopathic lawyer. The system needs some new blood with no ties to lawyers, judges, oligarch career politicians, multi-millionaires, or megacorp lobbies. If a regular normal human being ever gets into office they need to go wild from day one with a private investigation firm and a constitutional law firm that is security clearance worthy and get mining for all the probable cause evidence of felonies on both BS sportsball team parties that can be found to and then order the marshals service to make arrest and press charges to get a ball rolling that says the BS is over.

  3. No surprise there. I was laughing at people who said that Biden was going to legalize marijuana when he was running.

I said ," What are you talking about? Our government makes more money off it being illegal than legal. 😂

  4. This directly affects me. The dispensary just now opened nearby and it'll be a fortune and I'm sure my insurance won't cover it. I was looking forward to just being able to go to the pharmarcy. I'm furious.

  5. We need to make the government earn what it needs. No more taxes. If the government needs money they should have the equivalent of a national bake sale. Produce something. Sell it. Generate money. At the local level it wouldn’t be hard at all. I used to work for the city of Lowell’s parks and rec dept. We had a LOT of down time. Why not run it more like a private landscape company? Charge competitive rates and hire the guys out. It would generate revenue and limit the amount of time city workers get paid to hang out playing video games, getting high and hiding two towns over.

  6. It is a “cash grab” for the government. I agree with you.
Every man in our nation has the right to do whatever he wants to…yet, how do we measure the laws? There exists no magnitude of marijuana.

  7. i look forward to buying it in the produce section of the grocery store, next to lettuce and cucumbers. its worth about $3 a pound if farmers can grow it in fields next to the tomatoes.

  8. We’ve had Marinol in pill form since the 60’s. Nobody should smoke it legally, it has 10x the amount of tar vs cigarettes and many do both. Cancer patients, epileptics and glaucoma patients should be the only ones allowed to legally consume Marinol, otherwise it should be drastically decriminalized. Anything under two ounces should never involve jail. Anything over two ounces, but only pot, should get hefty fine, probation but still no jail.

  9. I don't know Styxx, I used medical marijuana for a bit when it became real here (FL) and went to each of the three dispensaries in the city. Based on some of the stoner pot specialists I had to interact with I wouldn't want them anywhere near other controlled substances you'd find in a regular pharmacy such as oxycodone, morphine, or fentanyl.

  10. IL has recreational weed now. There is a store called Verilife near me. I looked up their products online, only out of curiosity because I don't use. Going by what I see online the stuff is of a quality that could not be found back in the day around here unless you had access to one hell of a connection. 50 years ago the decent commercial street grade was 35 to 40 bucks a lid. And the cops would bust you with glee for it. The stuff at the weed store today is about $200/oz and if we could even get quality like that back in the day people would have paid $200/oz back then too. If I wanted to use today I would turn to the streets for it. No way would I show ID and sign for it. I think it's a honey trap, but if others are OK with that I don't care if they want to use. I do not support the drug war. Employers can still screen for it, I worked for one that screened, and I have no problem with that either. Just because it's legal does not mean employers are obligated to hire users. I had a coworker friend who flunked a random screen and he tried to claim it was medical weed. The employer told him we don't care if your medical claim is legit or not because our policy is zero tolerance for that substance, so don't bother coming up with a doctor's note. He was subjected to a disciplinary suspension and had to sign a last chance letter to return to work. If I were an employer I'd tell users you don't have to work here, so if you choose to be a user then you can find an employer who doesn't mind.
