I've never known what parents with a child that has epilepsy feel, because my mom never tells me. This video is one that I can relate to because I have epilepsy too, but my doctors still have no clue why. I started having seizures when I was about 4 months old, and it took 3 years to find a medication that actually reduced the amount of seizures I had a day. Now I have about 6-8 seizures instead of 15-20 a day. You were pretty close to what I feel like before I have a seizure. When I have absence seizures or drop seizures I don't feel anything but before a big seizure like tonic clonic seizure I normally get dizzy and taste a chemical taste. My brain also gets mixed up and fuzzy, and sometimes I don't think to sit down and I fall. I can feel it for quite a few seconds before it happens, but I can't stop it. I panic every time it happens. I don't always remember the seconds before I have a seizure but sometimes I do.
I just had a seizure 4 days ago. Ive never had epilepsy or anything like it before so i still have no idea where it came from. It was weird because it was like the most confusing experience but i couldnt even question what was going on.
I'm troubled by how little epilepsy research has done to help people like Raelynn. The meds don't give complete seizure cessation and the side effects are horrible. Hoping that we'll develop or discover better treatments someday. I've had 3 atonic/myoclonic seizures.
Hi everyone it's Maryanne here i was born very very premature and i came out yellow and the cord was around my neck and iv got a bad and very painful hiatus hernia which has made my tiny tummy all swollen and it makes me really full up just only having 4 spoons of my soft food diet that I'm on for the rest of my life my oesophagus doesn't work like other peoples dose the muscle control dose not work at all so since i was born I've not been able to swallow any sort of solid foods at all and and because of all my conditions that I've got I'm on very strong pain meds like fentanyl and Oramorph to keep my pain at a stable rate and I'm on anti sickness meds and candy flavor meds for my iron and my liver and meds for my mental health as well to all of my meds are liquid form only so i really do understand and i no haw it feels to be very poorly so i hope you feel a bit better soon im thinking of you all god bless you all xxxxxxx❤😘
I know I has had seizures at birth, I think I had a couple scares of getting them, One was at a concert and the other one was about a year later at my graduation but I’m not 100% if i wqs on the vergs of getting them ,

My cousin had horrible seizures 😭 I'm so sorry she goes through this but has two amazing parents to care for her, can I ask without sounding harsh do you stay home and one of you works? Do you have any support? 💗
Thank God for advocates like you! Tonight I found your channel and I'm so impressed! I have seen many children, adults, a dog, and a little kitten who died during a seizure in my arms. Ahh the mouth clicking noise triggers me a bit haha! Off topic i know but oh well. Lovely Raelyn. Such a sweet little poppet. I have epilepsy and all of my 7 seizures have been Tonic Clonic (Grand Mal), and i was unconscious for each one, i come round with a feeling of pure dread, terror. Also sometimes ive wet myself. Its horrible to see i can imagine and i would never want to see what i look like during one. Oh also, sometimes when i come round, i lose my memory. So i can come round, stand up off the floor, feel confused for a minute… Then carry on with what i was doing, but with this feeling something isn't quite right, which builds and builds til my memory fully comes back, usually about 30 mins to an hour it takes id say. Just so weird!

I was diagnosed with Epilepsy when I was 2 and had a Tumor removed when I was 8.
23 years Seizure free.

You say about rubber smell,I get that before a vestibular migraine.

My friend that I went to school With that had the seizure his name was John He passed away of that seizure we were all upset we were all crying
