  2. How to increase aerobic activity by only walking/hiking on trails?
Walk fast? Walk with a heavy backpack? Walk fast with a heavy backpack and heavy bags in your hands?
Or, walk fast uphill with a heavy backpack?
Or, just walk, but for 3hours?
Running is out of the question.

  3. Running sustained my Sanity for 30 years. Then I do biking and HIIT to avoid boredom and add variety to my workout. It improves my mood ! But I need to monitor myself if I do it too much because if I feel so exhausted my mood will go low!

  4. Im so happy that ive found your page. I love how you're able to break things down, the science of the brain and what we can do as individuals to break cycles and form new paths to health. Thank you for all of this priceless information Dr! ❤

  5. How do i become addicted to excersise? I like the feeling of exercise but i have the trouble of maintaining a schedule. I manage to get a twice a a week. A water aerobics class twice a week (if im lucky, sometimes work or depression gets the better of me).

  6. Agree in theory. I've seen it happen often while in my mental health hospital that has a gym for patients too.

Unfortunately it was very depressing watching this. It us directed for younger people. Not only is this exercise not feasible for many elderly (I'm 70) and debilitated. Yes, any exercise is better than none in theory, but at this age and severity of depression, no walks of any duration or intensity make me feel better. In fact, I an even more depressed afterwards because of added fatigue to my body which decreases mood.

  7. Got home from an hour and a half skateboarding session and was feeling amazing, I looked it up and started reading a PubMed paper about the ECS and was fascinated at how much it made sense! The euphoric and pain numbing feelings you get are very similar to that of some strains of cannabis, it's amazing how our body produces these effects on their own to reward us for taking care of it!

  8. I really have a strong dislike of cannabis and having grown up an athlete, I definitely get the post-workout high and yoga bliss, but I do not experience it in any way like being high from cannabis.

  9. Wait so body building is bad? I know is not natural to have a lot of muscle especially if I eat normally I know I’ll lose most of it 😂. I do it because I have anxiety and adhd and it helps a lot but if it increases it then idk what to do at this point because nothing has helped other than drugs and I don’t like prescription drugs since it’s not real and I already experience a lot of depersonalization.
