In briefly addressing the King James version versus other translations question, in the future would you please consider addressing Dr. James White's breakdown/explanation of the source materials used for the King James/New King James version versus ESV, NASB, & NIV? Thank you.
āI know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.ā āāRevelationā¬ ā2ā¬:ā13ā¬ āKJVā¬
āBut thereās another element of their worship that fascinates me, and it certainly must be included in any understanding of Satanās throne. Not only was he orchestrating Caesarās ā the worship of Caesar from there to flow out to the Roman world, the known world, not only was there this massive altar on the Acropolis that looked like a throne and a Satanic one at that because it reflected a false religion, but there was the very bizarre and strange worship of Asklepios. Asklepios was the god of healing, and Asklepios was known all over the ancient world as the Pergamese god, the god most associated with Pergamos was Asklepios. A very famous individual came from Pergamos, his name was Galen. And Galen was the second most famous medical person in the ancient world, the most famous being Hippocrates. Any doctor, before he can go through the processes, takes what is known as the Hippocratic oath which is the ethical statement made by Hippocrates that should be the standard by which any medical practitioner applies his trade. But next to Hippocrates was Galen was the second great shining medical mind.
In the city of Pergamos was a medical school. And this was a famous place of medicine. Mingled into their medicine, of course, was a lot of superstition. And the emblem or the idol of Asklepios was a snake. If you have ever seen the medical symbol, you will notice that in the middle of a medical symbol winding its way around the pole is a snake. That is the ancient god Asklepios, the god of healing. When you went to the temple of Asklepios you went there to be healed. In the temple harmless snakes slithered all over the temple floor. And in order to be healed you had to go in there and lie down and stay there. You slept on the temple floor and while you slept the defused multiplicity of the deity of Asklepios crawled over your body and infused you with his healing power. Satanic? Yes. Right from the old serpent himself. So when you hear that Asklepios was there, the serpent god, that sounds Satanic. When you know that Zeus was there and big upon the hill looming over the whole place was an altar to this false god, you know that Satan was there. And when you know they were worshiping the Caesars, you know that Satan was there. And when you put it all together, certainly this is Satanās throne.ā
i used to have kidney stones several times , the pain was worse a few times than others, then i found out to stay hydrated, i got them every summer for a while, id get thirsty and drank to many cokes and not the right fluids. havnt had one in years now, the pain was so bad sometimes i didnt think id make it, till they hit me with that morphine shot, i can see how people can get addicted to pain killers.
The KJV is more than just the "most accurate translation" or the "best we have". The KJV is perfect. There are no errors in it. God says all Scripture is inspired. God promised to preserve his word even though the Greek and Hebrew originals have passed away.
"Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail…" (Isaiah 34:16)!
Where is the book of the Lord I'm supposed to seek and read from?
If you believe the perfect word of God exists today in a book, then you have to choose which book. Despite what all the Calvinist "scholars" have to say, God's words are still perfectly preserved for us today in a book that will never pass away.
"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." – Psalm 12:6-7 KJV
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." – Matthew 24:35 KJV
Being called to be a pastor is like being called to be a teacher or nurse. Some of those have no business being nurses/teachers. They're in it for the wrong reasons or severely unqualified
The issue isnāt only the various translations, but also the different Bible commentaries that lead so many astray and into believing error.
We were at a VRBO on vacation last summer, and the rental had a Bible on the bookshelf. The commentary on Genesis 2 had an heretical interpretation that Eve was equal to Adam in purpose and role and that society misconstrued Genesis to āfurther a misogynistic agenda.ā It was so erroneous and absurd.
If you read five chapters in the morning and five chapters in the evening, you can read the entire New Testament in 26 days. Not that speed reading through is always the best way, but sometimes if you power through a few times, you will get a better understanding because you recall more details.
I think you mis spoke and said Mary Baker Eddy founded the SDA "church". that was Ellen G. White. Although if I'm wrong I'd be interested in hearing her connection to sda, it is interesting that they were contemporary peers fron the same area in the country.
If you ask God for a selfish motive He might not give that but it doesnāt hurt to ask. Usually God means to ask for anything that is spiritually edifying like wisdom and strength .
1:37:30 Tyndalesbeard is a little mixed up, the qualifications for a bishop is the qualifications for a bishop, not an evangelist. A man that is single, or has a divorce in the past, even remarried for that matter, is still able to preach as an evangelist. That's a gift, not an office. There's no qualifications for a gift other than you got to be saved
Why would you read a Bible that is from the world? Like bro Spencer said, they are not translated from the same source. Simple as that.
John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
If abortion is wrong (and it is), it is wrong in every circumstance. I was raped in 1990, beaten, & had a knife held to my throat to threaten me not to tell. I thought I was pregnant. I was terrified. I am so pale white & he was so black he wasn't brown. I knew I couldn't look at my baby & not see him. It just didn't matter. If I had chosed abortion, that would not have lessened the trauma but added to it. The trauma was already done. I wasn't pregnant or had an early miscarriage. (I had a lot of physical issues in that area.) So I didn't have to deal with adopting the baby or raising it. Let me say again, the trauma is magnified if you abort the baby after the trauma of rape.
Have you heard of Mark Ward?
Though I haven't researched it alot, there are parts of the plant that do not have bad stuff in it that Marijuana does.

KJV only. Look up Westcott and Hort.

I left a church once because a pastor didn't preach on sin or Revelation/prophecy. All milk, no meat either.

Yay for Ohio! (Never in a million years would I think I'd ever say that lol). My sister is in Michigan and I'm in PA so that'd be perfect for us.

Check out Mark Ward, heās dangerous and a snake. Heās making it his lifeās mission/work to make everyone think itās not important to use KJV.
