  3. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO CONCERNED ABOUT AN OCCUPANCY LIKE GUYANA? HAS PEOPLE FORGOTTEN THAT GUYANA HAS OCCUPIED PART OF THE TERRITORY OF SURINAME SINCE 1971. Guyanese president PLEASE LEAVE THE TERRITORY OF SURINAME NOW.

  4. It's crazy how countries like Russia and Venezuela just don't respect the borders that have been established with their neighbours and are open to go to war. Just disgusting.

  5. That maduro is doing this maybe for domestic reasons its true, but Guyana can’t give concessions to any mining or oil and gas exploration companies (national or international) in a dispute territory. That territory is not guyanese or Venezuelan today, is a dispute territory that was part of Venezuela during the Spanish colonial time and when Britain bought land from Holland they took more territory, the (laudo arbitral in 1899 didn’t take in account the independent Venezuela and between British and some other people decided a new border line, which Venezuela never accepted and in 1960 in Gin convention they sign to arrange it in diplomatic ways but is a territory in dispute, the problem is a heritage of colonialism. Please inform yourself before opining. Venezuela is not taking any guyanese territory. That’s actually funny to read. Those two countries have had an excellent relation, Venezuela has given tons of oil for free to Guyana. But now Guyana gave permission to international companies to explore in a (DISPUTE ZONE) not in guyanese territory and that’s the problem.

  6. Venezuela has compelling evidence that there was foul play in the 1899 Treaty of Paris, which decided the fate of our Essequibo. The evidence is so compelling that the 1966 Geneva Accord has not been able to reach a decision, only that it is biased in favor of Guyana. However, the evidence that Essequibo is Venezuelan is so strong and evident, and that is why the situation is so complex.

  7. Maduro thinks he's Putin and can annex Guyana without recrimination or repercussion. He wants to throw South America into the world war that Putin is building up through Europe and his alliance with Xi in Asia. There's no clearer case of history repeating itself, literally, from 100 years ago.
