How many firefighters and police officers are suffering from back pain? I'd say a LOT. It's not always an easy fix, so we have to dig deep and cover all the things in this series and more.
The other thing about back surgery is it's expensive as s@#$. Where as just getting the back mechanic and some personal equipment is like what 100 bucks from amazon?

Good point where you and your dad agreed that after back surgery, you’re going to rehab anyway!
The consensus of multiple orthos I saw two years ago: if you aren't urinating or defecating on your self then you probably don't need surgery.
