Dr Ben, is it ok to use ear buds if yoy have tinnitus, some people online have said using earbuds made their tinnitus worse and by enclosing tbe eardrium tbe pressure and nearfield of the drivers can aggrevate tinnitus. I was given some earbuds for xmas to listen to tinnitus maskers but concerned using them may make it worse. Thanks in advance for your comment.

I've tried the tapping a couple of times. It seemed to make y tinnitus louder. Also regarding ear plugs: when I have tried to use them at a concert or when I'm playing music myself, I find that all I can hear is my tinnitus. My plugs are pretty old. Are there any you would recommend?

After I playbmy in ear generators very low and take them out, in the morning time my brain plays the sounds back I can hear the Zen bells, the ocean waves and other sounds I play through these in ear hearing aide generators. Do you know why my brain would do this? Have you heard of others peoples brain recordings the sounds?

I used a steroid called Methylprednisilone. It got rid of the sound. Side effect: I was having issues breathing.
