Opening the Conversation with a Dangerous Stallion

Brookestone is a stallion who came to us a few months ago and was in rough shape. He was having seizures, he acquired a hoof …

  1. Love the way you work with him. Does he have back/hip problems because of his cut tail? It seems like hes moving really stiff back there… did you maybe consider he could have a trauma?
My riding participation is a stallion too, but thankfully hes mostly well behaved. He was imported from spain where he most likely got mistreated, but he learned so much here already and he trusts me 🙂 But it took me about half a year. He is living in a free range stable with his gelding friends.

  2. YAY! I understand you and am so glad you did this video to explain to others how easy communication between human and animal can be. So many animals are misunderstand, not vicious, just fearful and upset. You have the key to communicate trust., Thank you for sharing!!!

  3. This is lovely! He has such a good look about him and released sooo much tension with all that yawning 😂 I'm sure he'll do well and have improved interactions with humans now.

  4. THIS THIS THIS! This is what I love seeing when it comes to understanding and communicating with horses! Any other person would've immediately gelded him and assumed that would 'fix' his issues, when it wouldn't. Properly understanding a horse and what they need is so so important regardless if they're a mare, stallion, or gelding. Bless you for the work you do!
