Thanks for checking me out! I got plenty of other grow-diagnostic videos that are just as good – don't forget to subscribe and look around the channel.
One of the worst pieces of advice ive ever heard is if you stick the tip of your finger in your medium and it’s dry then you need to water… you’ve helped thousands of people start a fungus gnat zoo😂😂
I use a XLUX Soil Moisture Meter probe. It works very well. I found that the first couple inches of soil on the top can be bone dry but the bottom 3rd of soil can be very wet. The probe tells me what I cant see. 🙏✌😎
Keep up the great work. Thanks for all the info I've learnt along the way since I first began watching your channel. I was only fairly new to indoor grows back then and it was mainly due to all the complicated processes Involved and all the things that can go wrong etc. But watching yourself and Bill Ward and Mr Canuk for the past 2yrs my knowledge has bloomed giving me more confidence to make the move to inside. Now it's up to me to get a few more completed and gain the experience. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible but I'm still making mistakes which is natural for a novice. The upside is that I'm getting plenty of experience in dealing with problems and correcting them. I am very grateful for you (& others) for making gr8 content that's easy enough for any level of grower to understand. Hope you had a nice xmas and wishing you and your family a safe new year. Paul
I don't understand the part where you said if its moist don't water, but if its dry you waited too long ? where is the medium ? so when do we water, what's the next stage after moist ?
Here are a few more tips if you find that your plant in a soil grow is suffering from overwatering that can save your plant if you act quickly.
1) Fold up papertowel in many layers to fit the base of your pot. Place under the plant and leave for a few hours, checking often. When the papertowel is wet, remove and replace until the papertoweling is barely moist. The papertowel draws out the excess water.
2) Place a 1/2" layer of rice in the pot saucer and replace the plant in its saucer. The rice will draw out excess water.
3) Remove affected damaged leaves to allow the plant to focus its energy on healthy leaves and new growth.
4) Transplant. While transplanting, look at the roots. Snip any roots suffering from root rot … leaving only healthy roots.
I have a simple solution to prevent overwatering, keeping the container reasonably small is a good start. Then always try and use the same size cup to raise all your seedlings in. So what you do is weigh your cup when filling them with your growing medium trying to get them all the same weight. Now after adding your seedlings place the cup on the scale and add your water, 30ml per cup plus minus. All your cups now weigh the same and have equal amounts of water. If you think you need to water them in a couple of days just place them on the scale to see how much water has been lost. If you add water bring it back up to the weight it was after your first watering. As your plants grow you will and use the water you added to quickly, increase the amount of water.
I can’t find what’s happening to my plant. It started with the older leaves and slowly started killing the leaves. The first leaf turned kinda yellow but the other two leaves that barley started getting affected are turning a light brown at the tips and the tips kinda crumpled itself up. Please lmk what you think is wrong with my plant. I was thinking it was overwatering but now idk
So how many time you do this a week and do you feed water in between or do you just feed nutes every feed. I'm in promix and I dont know if in overfeeding overwatering or if my ph is wrong I'm keeping it around 6 for veg and flower. The ppm are around 500 when I pour water that's 180 through it. So does that mean it's too high and i need to flush it to where its reading what I'm putting in it? The top leaves are turning colors the stems and stalks are very purple it's weird the pant deficiency are only in certain spots. That looked crappy as clones in water put them in promix looked great started turning the perfect green color now there getting purple again can anyone help with me showing pics
My first two grow attempts I had some issues with watering and nutes, I’m in week 5 of a northern lights photoperiod from RQS and I’ve found watering once per week keeps them happy, I haven’t got a spare room and staying with parents due to my disability and needing extra help, I have a grow tent in my room and also have a sweet skunk auto that’s a week behind the NL it has some light green neon kinda colour on the tips but I’ve been upping the dose of biogrow with each watering and it’s slowly getting better, ty for the vids I’ve found this channel to be one of the most informative and I like that you’re straight to the point!
New grower here, been looking at alot of different things on here and all your videos are informative and always seem to answer whatever I'm looking for with great detail without making the videos super long! Subbed!
Fuck man i need to know what to do now my plant accidentally got showered in the rain (got her in a pot shes in/out door) the rain came unexpected and the day before i already watered her shes dying now and i asap need to revive her before its too late so prevention wont do much for me now
I got wilting, yellow leaves, spots, taco folding (too much light while wet) and no hanging. I know it was over watered because I took the plant out and the soil was soaked. Put it in shade and it is starting to recover
0:50 isn't this more a sign of high salt concentration? The plant is unable to uptake the water and the soil keeps being moist over a long period. I usually flush a bit to dilute the concentration. Sometimes you need to "over water" your plants.
I have a question about oxygen outdoors . While growing outdoors what is the best was to oxygenate my garden, rusty water or, peroxide ? Or something I don't know . I've gotten about the same result with both but which is healthier for my plants ? I have tight Sandy soil with alot of clay so I've added manure topsoil potting soil pearlite kelp and straw but as my plants got larger oxygen became a slight problem that I've got under control but worry I'm harming my plants in the process .

This old ass video made me subscribe FINALLY 😂🤣😂 (and hit the notification 🔔)
“If it’s moist, don’t water. But if it’s dry you waited too long” …is there something in between dry and moist that I’m missing?

Have you heard of Octopots? What do you think of them?
I always bottom feed my plants
Say I'm growing outside and my plants are around other nettles and trees will the roots from them absorb the water aswel ?
Crap I thought my plants were growing slow because they didn't have enough water 🤣
A soil water meter was one of the best investments I made. It takes the guesswork out of when to water your plants and if they need any water at all.
Can anyone help? how much water at a time for 5 gallon smart pots in week 2 of flower?

They say” it just a weed, don’t over do it…”
Who are they ??

Can the buds turn brown due to overwatering?

My rule for many things in life, when in doubt, leave it out.
Hi . What’s your opinion on feed? Do I NEED to feed plants? Organic? Non organic? And do you feed everytime you water? Or how often?????

Horrible video/slide show along with horrible audio. Next!
