Love your content, could you possibly do a video on r/o water? I recently got a ro system, and there are no videos on what to add to your ro water at all. I know you have to add cal mag on the beginning, then switch to mag sulfur. You have a video on this. I have made it to day 51 of flower on my alice and wonderland strain, but have clones going into flower soon. Just recently got my r/o system and want to be prepared for the next run. Thanks
I did the CH2 plant training on one of my clones and im going to kill it. The main problem is its fighting the string, instead of bending the branch super cropping where it can build a knuckle and move on the clone plant tied down that early will fight fight fight the string. All its energy is fighting the string. Small leaves slow growth until is psychologically defeats the plant and it give up on life. My smaller newer clones already have double the side leaf as the CH2 plant.. i was gonna try the super low CH2 trellis but I quit, my other newer clones are alreadt bigger.. its a shame it could have been a cool plant. Im not posting another video on it so i dont disrespect CH2.. it works for him, but not for me… top growth grows so much faster, that bottom stuff should be cut off so the plant has some leg… leaf in dirt is another problem with the CH2 style… thought this would make you laugh, yep. Big fail hahaha. It psychologically defeats the plant that early and small
I grow Fastbuds autos and without training they can reach 4-5' especially strain's like gorilla cookies for instance. I have been training some heavily and letting others simply grow natural and this is what I have found over the past 2 years + of testing this. Maybe with photos this all changes but for those of you growing autos this one is for you. 99% of the time simply letting the plant grow with no training yields the best results. LST training simply slows things down and any increase in yield at that point is strain dependent. Some strains with strong side branching will possibly increase the yield a little but like I said simply slowing things down significantly. Some strains like indica dominant strains really don't benefit much at all. When it comes to autos just let them grow. I personally have not seen any benefit to LST and 9 times out of 10 they yield more and finish faster if you just LET THEM GROW! If anything lollypop up 2 or 3 nodes on each branch and defoliate a little. Photos of course a totally different beasty and training photos will significantly increase yield 100%.

Excellent coverage illustrating the variables. Water schedule can vary based on humidity as transpiration is slower in high humidity. Soil type can vary in drainage rate. Pot type either plastic or fabric will influence evaporation. Temperature differences will affect it too etc. so many moving parts definitely make answering a single question nearly impossible to do accurately. This is where experience and logging play a vital role in the growth of the garden and the gardener. Glad you’re feeling better GT. Woooooo!!!
I would rather veg longer with less plants. It seems like the only way to go to stay legal in my state with a 6 mature plant limit. I run 2 plants in my 39”x39” tents. Much easier to water also.
This is the only way I can get in touch and thank you for your channel and grow info. I watched, took notes and got through my first photoperiod grow with no issues. From there I decided to try autos and that went great as well. Instead of using one tent for veg and the other for flower I went with three autos in one and one photoperiod in the other. Photo to stock the cabinet, autos to sample some variety. Things went well but I have tailored the process to my setup.
I’m in my 70’s and lived on a hobby farm and worked on a truck farm as a kid. In the 80’s I worked at the old NK Seeds HQ in Minneapolis and used to take coffee with the seed breeders. No experience with our favorite plant aside from being introduced to brick in 1970 and having a clandestine relationship with the plant on and off for decades.
I especially like your approach that these are just plants and everyone is different. After four kids and seven grandkids I get that part. Anyways, it appears to me that a lot of home growers seem to think that throwing gadgets and money at their grow will result in success. I don’t deny the value in some of that but they’re plants, not predictable machines that respond and grow the same.
When it comes to height there seems to be two issues that come into play. One, keeping your plants from getting too tall for the height of your grow space, and knowing a rough estimate on how much they will stretch when put into flower. Two, trying to keep the top of your canopy even, so trellis or staking to keep the taller tops at the same height as the newer growth below, or at least giving the lower growth a chance to catch up. Beyond that, GT's advice on filling out half the square footage of your floor space will determine how long you let them veg is probably the best advice I've heard when it comes to plant "size". So your width eventually determines the height when you flip to flower, assuming you keep the two factors I mentioned in mind.
I'm currently growing 2 plants (gorilla glue) in a 2×1 tent made from trash bags using a 150watt HPS light. Week 3 in flower and the buds are already huge. I'm using 13 year old fertilizer that I bought in 2011 (foxfarm trio). They are nearly 4 feet tall after the stretch. (no training or pruning). I just tuck the bud sites around the fan leaves.

Nice sharing dear

I find strains that are short and limby bushes ,some produce good weight ,some dont , but it beats taller ones for what im doing.
