I add Montana Grow volcanic tuff and Rice hulls to my soil mix to add Silica from the beginning. I have AgSil 16 Potassium Silicate that I mix into my bottom reservoir sometimes. I also top-water the new "Stash Blend" additive that has Silica as part of its blend. I do not use Diatomaceous Earth or Vermiculite as silica sources because both have very sharp edges that can cut or injure the worms in my soil.
I have heard very good things about Silicium from the Jug Dealers at New Millenium and will likely pick up a bottle when I run out of AgSil 16.
