After two years of disruption, stress and dissension, Tulsans and people around the world are no doubt hoping to settle into a more familiar rhythm in 2022.

But with COVID-19’s evolving variants continuing to play havoc with everyday life and social, economic and political differences straining the nation’s bindings, 2022 shapes up as another test of American resiliency and fortitude.

This year, the Tulsa World’s annual People to Watch feature presents a cross section of Oklahomans we can look to in the days ahead for strength and counsel, but also for beauty and a smile.

Our list represents public health, state government and public safety, tribal government, higher education, the non-profit sector, the clergy and the fine and performing arts. In small ways and large, each of the 10 brings something to their communities, the state and the nation.
