To anyone who still believes in the reefer madness nonsense / is in favor of keeping cannabis illegal, I have an honest couple of questions for you.
1. Why? Why do you believe that adults in “the land of the free” should have to ask permission to the federal government, to consume anything, let alone something that has never directly killed anyone?
2. Why do you think ANYONE on the planet should be able to tell an adult what they can put in their body, and where does that authority begin and end? Should it extend to diet? Considering heart disease kills millions annually and fast food is a direct link to heart disease. In simpler terms, would you be ok going to jail for a BigMac…because those things kill you you know.
3. Finally, do you, yes or no, believe you own your own body and the rights to it?
Understand this…Even if you don’t like it, don’t approve, etc. You are in the wrong, and it is absurd for anyone to give our government the authority to jail an adult for consumption of cannabis.
As a disabled vet, I left the Republican Party after 30 years due in total, to their childish and irrational views on cannabis, and until the entire party completely changes their platform on the issue, I refuse to give them my support…And I can tell you a lot of my veteran brothers and sisters are doing the same. I encourage all disabled vets to join the Libertarians.
Mississippi has jerked us around for going on two years and still no medical marijuana cards. They were arguing about how much they will allow patients to consume. Useless
