RAPID CITY, S.D. — Another Saturday, another legislative cracker barrel in the books where legislators answered questions from their constituents at Western Dakota Tech.
The cracker barrel that was sponsored by Elevate Rapid City, and it covered many issues like infrastructure, water projects in the state, taxes and recreational marijuana.
After the Senate passed Senate Bill 3 by a vote of 18-17 on Wednesday, it will now head to the House State Affairs Committee on Monday.
Lawmakers say if you have an opinion on the matter, now the time to express it.
“Which you will be hearing the bill Monday morning. I believe they start at 7:45 and so anybody that’s in support of that needs to reach out this weekend to the house. State affairs committee members and express their position,” said District 34 State Representative Mike Derby.
