  1. so you justifies your doctrine by mayo clinic. what about vaccines' and other drugs that ARE harmful to the body? I can't take modern pain pills they cause horrible affects on me. where as a controlled amount of cannabis, not to get high is all that's left for me. so what's the difference between you and the rabbis put on the children of Israel? so are you adding the scriptures or adding to your (own) law? I'm glad Jesus saved me and not you! It is an herb and can be used as so in moderation.

  2. Sad! What’s the gospels reduced to. Answering these kinds of stuff. Is more like “what can we get away with” off technicality. Also CBD has not been studied enough

  3. I’d rather take cannabis pills than eat what the Bible says is unclean. Have you done research on how dangerous it is to eat pork cooked or raw? I didn’t even know there was a hepatitis E! Not to mention the sodium content and yersinia! I believe cannabis is good but we abuse it and make it a problem. Just like alcohol, most pain and cold medicine was once alcoholic. Wine is good for your heart but if you abuse it again it’s a problem in your life. I think we need to learn moderation and take precautions when when taking such substances. But ultimately we must go to God with our ailments and pray for healing!

  4. It says in the Word of God not to judge another for in the same measure you judge another so also you shall be judged. It also says to not be as an hypocrite in not practicing what you preach. If you preach against recreational psychoactive drug use and addiction then why isn't caffeine mentioned which is both psychoactive, addictive, and harmful to the body both increasing blood pressure and the stress hormone cortisol?

  5. The Lord put all herbs on the earth for food and healing. Unfortunately there are many people who have misused herbs outside of their medicinal purposes and in doing so have defiled the temple of God which the Lord Jesus Christ purchased with His precious blood. There are many people who when putting things into their bodies out of habit and not out of necessity defile the temple of God. Yes we are to take joy in what we eat and drink but not if it's breaking down the temple of God.

  6. What about consuming caffeine instead of getting enough sleep? What about overeating or eating when not hungry? What about consuming MGO food stuff that is not after it's kind?

  7. Thanks You!… Okay first off…….many SINcere people still misuse the….. "your body is a temple" scripture even though they know fully well it's not about alcohol, or drugs or other substances taken into your body and plainly says so. It speaks specifically about fornication, which is a unique and serious spiritual sin…… 1Corintians 6: 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's……

David Bernard also mentions…… 1 Corintians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body…….. This scripture also focuses mainly on fornication as a spiritual defilement to the body rather than what's eaten, but states that we are not to be brought under the power of anything consumed for the body. This mostly refers to 'things sacrificed to idols', but it's 'implied' that it also refers to gluttony. Those in UPC 'authority' rarely define gluttony as an outright 'deal breaking' sin. Why? Because that would identify, label and offend way too many beloved members who have been 'brought under the power' of overeating and obesity revealing the undisciplined sinners they truly are…… YES! I'm talking about FAT PEOPLE! (you know who you are).

This is where the concept of a 'vice' comes in. A vice can be defined in different ways depending on who you ask. Generally, a 'vice' is not considered an outright full-blown damnable sin (in and of itself). It falls into the category of….."lawful but not expedient"…. or …."lawful but not convenient"……. It's something that is allowed in moderation or with careful discipline. Eating certain unhealthy foods or allowing anything into the body purely for satisfaction rather than good health falls into this category. Alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and sugar would fall into this category. So, I suppose cannabis would too….. But there's an old saying…. "One man's vice is another man's sin).

So, then what's the problem with a vice? It seems to be within God's 'permissive will' (as some people would define it). Even though a particular vice may not be defined as sin, generally a vice has no lasting benefit beyond it's temporary pleasure or relief. Yet it carries the added risk of weakening a person. A vice CAN and DOES lead to outright sin! Just because we CAN do something, doesn't mean we should. Those who choose to use these substances of 'vice' with care and discipline shouldn't feel 'lost' for doing so. But if/when you notice the weaknesses becoming greater than the benefits, perhaps you're crossing the line into sin.

From personal experience (years ago) I can honestly say that cannabis is a very effective tool against nausea. It knocks it out instantly. (I have no other experience with any other use of this herb. neither do I recommend it's use for any reason at all.) …. I can also tell you from personal experience (years ago) using the stuff too much or too often will make you lazy and stupid…. Since most of us already suffer from the 'lazy and stupid syndrome', it's best to avoid anything that increases the symptoms!……Most people are better off avoiding cannabis altogether, simply because it can and does weaken you, which can lead to more serious blinding sin, which can lead to death!…… Choose your 'vices' very carefully and with the utmost caution……. your life depends on it.

  8. After being refilled with the holy ghost after 15 years of being backsid the first thing God did was convict me of smoking this garbage . He told me that I could not grow spiritually hanging onto sin. My wife and I have bought a house and are able to give more to the church with the money we have saved…

  9. I'm into natural medicine, and idk of any herbals out there that cause harm to the body. But almost every man made drug-("medicine") is harmful, one way or another.
That being said, of course I don't think that smoking Marijuana is a herbal medicine. That destroys your body, just like big Pharma does. I do agree, with what you just said Bro. Bernard! Thank you for sharing this.

  10. So if I understand you correctly, here in Canada were all forms are legal for any reason, make sure you talk to your family doctor about it, get a prescription and purchase it from a government regulated supplier, not from the corner dealer. Please correct me if I am wrong. If need be a video regarding this under Canadian law or other countries that have also fully legalized marijuana such as the Netherlands.

  11. I have much respect for my brother Bernard he said the perfect thing; seek Godâ€Ļ I would add, it’s about the intent from the heart why one would take these substances whether medical or otherwise. Only God knows this.. Scripture does say “Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts”. We must be led by the Spirt and always examine man’s teaching.

  12. Amen. I'm on Suboxone for lower back pain and I take it under my tongue as prescribed, but it is a highly addictive medication and has severe side effects coming off it and one will be bedridden for roughly 30-60 days coming off it. I don't recommend anyone getting on Suboxone if they don't have to.
