Readers sound off on Putin, oil companies and marijuana sales

Staten Island: Voicer Ed Via has it 100% correct, except the amount of oil we get from Russia is less than 1%. We do, indeed, have plenty. But contrary to what the ever-hateful Voicer Charley Sitero and his sidekick, Voicer Gene O’ Brien, both claim, the reason we have more than 900 drilling leases sitting unused is oil companies’ greed. They know and have known for decades that they have to turn on the spigot but in their ever-increasing greed have steadfastly refused, just as OPEC does to increase production, because the CEOs are all in need of Russian oligarch-style mega-yachts. The falsehood that President Biden has somehow restricted drilling is borne of the Voicers’ sheer ignorance of simple, verifiable facts. Too easy? I know math is hard but fellas, c’mon.
