I think there is a difference… Medical stuff ist harvested in that moment, when it reached the right THC/CBD level… Recreational Weed is mostly harvested a little bit later, when the trichoms are starting to get brown… Maybe how they dry is could make difference, too. Medical stuff is dried in a few hours. They dont waste time. I think 20%thc grown with more time is better than 20%thc early harvested medical stuff.
In Massachusetts, at least in dispensaries, medical bud usually has 5 ish percent more thc or cbd, is cheaper, and you can buy more at a time if you have the script.
