  1. In the start of the video you mentioned something about waiting for 6 weeks after taking fingerprints. Are you getting the national ID after 6 week of application ?

  2. 8:58 What is this Man hiding away from you about Nyanza.!!!!??? Nyanza is a very large region.!!!! It carries all the Luos.. the Kissis.. the Kuria… etc..
Kissi is so small like a spot within Nyanza. Kissi is in West side of Kenya.

  3. Lake Victoria was formerly known as Lake Nyanza or Nam Lolwe, before it was christened by you know who. The region surrounding the lake is called Nyanza. Apart from Luos, Luyhas also border the lake (Luyhas from Busia county). Luyhas have 18 subtribes (Banyala, Masaaba, Marama, Tachoni, Bukusu, Maragoli, Samia, Batsotso, Idakho, Isukha, Gisu, Kisa, Marachi, Tiriki, Kabras, Khayo, Banyore, and Wanga) who are dispersed in different counties (Busia, Bungoma, Vihiga, and Kakamega).

  4. It's True Kisiis were displaced from their land initially in Kericho and taken over by Kalenjins around 500 years back after leaning the art of farming from the Bantus .

  5. Well Africa has a lot of diversity with its history but I can categorically mention some of the most intelligent and industrious tribe.
    (1) Igbo-Nigeria
    (2)Zulu-South Africa
    (3) KiKuyu-Kenya
    (4) Mbutsi-DRC
    (5) Gurage-Ethiopia
    (6) Tutsi-Rwanda/Burundi
    (7) Lebou-Senegal
    (8) Yoruba-Nigeria
    (9) Venda-South Africa
    (10) Hausa-Nigeria

  6. Karen, Lake Victoria was traditionally called Nyanza or Nam Lolwe. The whole region surrounding Lake Victoria was initially referred to as Nyanza Province before counties were formed. Besides the Luos, the Luhyas also occupy the area on Lake Victoria towards Busia side as you head to Uganda, infact Luhyas will mainly refer to Lake Victoria as Nyanza.

Please stick to these kind of positive tribal discussions and avoid being dragged into negative stereotypes that pit tribes against each other e.g other tribes being more hardworking than others etc There are tribes that are marginalized and it is insensitive when some people describe them in the negative. I know you will slowly learn this and understand where I coming from. Keep learning.

  7. Please STOPπŸ›‘ asking kenyans about our tribes..its sensitive issues..I'm a Kikuyu but hate to be asked about my tribe..our tribe is called MkenyaπŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ

  8. In Kenya, Most Bantu communities are in the central and eastern to south-eastern side of the country. So when he said that the Kisii are misplaced it is because they are the only Bantu community deep in the western part of the country. They are sandwiched between the Luos and the Kalenjins (Nilotic tribes)
Edit: I forgot a bout the Luhya. My bad.

  9. I don't know who will get rid of the traffic jams in Nairobi. Lord have mercy. Sheer watching this gridlock is in itself distressing.

  10. Karen. I think you have something with these Uber conversations.
Conversing with Kenyans on your channel are really wholesome. Personally I enjoy them.
Can't wait for more interactions while driving.

  11. As a Kenyan, Bantu and a Mumeru, I immediately said Meru or Kisii. We have so many things in common with Kisii. From the accent, temperament, and our love for bananas πŸ˜‚

  12. You are so much obsessed with this tribe thing in Kenya when it's such a sensitive issue. A stranger will always cringe when you ask what tribe they are. You are lucky you get good drivers. Stop asking people their tribes in Kenya.

  13. You are getting really good. I am Kenyan and I also guessed kamba first like you. But as he kept talking, his accent was pretty obvious that it was kisii.
