Kate Moss has just launched her own Goop-style beauty and wellness brand

She was once as synonymous with a party-hard lifestyle as she was with fashion.

But now it seems Kate Moss, the ultimate IT girl, has embraced a more wholesome, health-focused lifestyle with the unveiling of her wellness brand, Cosmoss,

According to the press release, the collection “draws on the extraordinary life experience of Kate Moss — ready to share her journey of self-acceptance and freely be herself.”

Sounds a little Goop-y? I know.

But to be fair, the (as of yet) six-strong collection of teas and skincare products actually sounds pretty impressive.

“Each product has been meticulously crafted with wellbeing in mind; each ritual opens a door to balance, restoration, and love,” Moss reveals to Harper’s Bazaar.

“The line-up reveals a Golden Nectar CBD and Pro-Collagen Oil, Face Cream, Face Cleanser, Sacred Mist fragrance, and Dawn and Dusk Teas.”

Very much on trend, the skincare line contains ingredients like CBD and bakuchiol (a plant alternative to retinol), offering support for stressed and ageing complexions.

The focus on rituals feels a little Gwyneth too, but I have to admit, I love the idea and here is where the two different teas come into play to, each specifically made to support your body and health during both mornings (Dawn Tea) and evenings (Dusk Tea).

Inspired by home

Meanwhile, the fragrance mist – like the entire collection – is very much inspired by Moss’ home in the countryside, and her beloved garden, and sees an aromatic blend of bergamot, tuberose and grounding woods to uplift the spirits.

“I started spending a lot of time in my garden in the pandemic and noticing flowers that I didn’t even know I had, it’s become my favourite place now, where I feel happiest,” the 48-year-old reveals.

“I go out into the field and meditate sometimes early in the morning before the world is awake.”

Speaking to Vogue about her new venture, Moss says the collection is two and a half years in the making — and deeply connected to this specific setting.

“Meetings with the development team took place at the farmhouse kitchen table and were accompanied by stimulatory garden walks, picking up rosemary and bay leaves as the moss-green-and-gold packaging details were finalized.”

So is the party girl no more? Moss admits she likes to feel well these days, and credits her glowing and still seriously youthful complexion to her love of yoga (so far, so Gwyneth), healthy eating and a much simpler life spent mostly at home.

However, as Cosmoss is – in Moss’ own words – “a celebration of every day exactly as it is, with all its imperfections,” so who’s to say wellness and a bit of hedonism cannot co-exist?
