Magic Mann cannabis dispensary opens

Vermont Business Magazine On October 26th, 2022, the Essex-based cannabis company, Magic Mann, received an email from the Cannabis Control Board. The email was a sign that the challenges faced in preparation for the company’s future were well worth their efforts. Magic Mann has announced that its recreational dispensary is now licensed and opened to the public on November 2nd from 10 am until 8 pm.

Magic Mann was founded by Meredith Mann and Brian Armstrong on April 20th, 2019. The company was based on the decades-long dream that Meredith and her husband, Nick, had of creating a craft cannabis company that sourced local craft flower and edibles and gave back to the community.

For Brian, who once was arrested on marijuana-related charges, it was an opportunity to further his passion for creating jobs, growing teams, and starting community-minded companies that care more about their employees than the bottom line. Through years of trust and respect, a team of talented cannabis lovers evolved; together they have pushed through barriers and are finally opening the Magic Mann dispensary to the public!

Meredith’s experience as a medical patient and dispensary supervisor has given her the perspective and understanding needed to create respect for cannabis lacking in parts of the community. Brian’s experience as an owner of several businesses helped assemble a well-rounded and diverse team that mixed the best cannabis acumen with proven business fundamentals. Together they recognized three essential needs in the industry: First, the need for clean, safe, and accurately dosed cannabis products. Second, livable wage jobs. Third, the need for free cannabis education for community members to break the negative stigma formed throughout history.

Magic Mann’s philosophy to give back to the people and the planet includes tackling the food sustainability issues affecting Indigenous Tribes throughout Vermont and beyond. Meredith, the Magic Mann team created the Global Indigenous Fund as a Platform for all people and businesses to show respect for cultivation and curating on Indigenous land.

The opening of the dispensary is the first step of the team’s goal to establish a vertically integrated cannabis company that includes a dispensary, an environmentally-friendly cultivation operation, and a manufacturing company. The goal is to offer the finest cannabis products locally sourced and crafted. Magic Mann also intends to support numerous Vermont cannabis companies by offering to showcase their products in addition to their own. All the while creating an open book company that profit shares with its employees and is creating dozens of jobs that further the well-being of the area community and its residents.
