  1. All these years later this song still brings tears. He leaves me speechless with his words. It is like he goes inside & pulls out our innermost feelings. What a genius and special person.Still love talking to my older sister about The Carpenters. We always brought up Paul and Burt in that conversation and still do today. Both of us never forgot your contributions to music.Thank You Paul for being such a great lyricist and expressing all of our thoughts throughout the years.Love You since day one and will forever!❤

  2. another great song from the fabulous composer Paul H Williams His dad died in a car crash and he lived with an aunt after that so his great talent would be discovered it could not happened where Paul was born in Nebraska his daughter is a scientist like his dad and 1 of his brothers were it goes in the genes, sarah!!!!!

  3. Since first hearing him in the early '70's Paul Williams has been my favourite artist for his wonderful words and melodies and Loneliness has always been one of my favourite songs. I never tire of listening to my collection of his albums. A true genius.

  4. I grew up knowing of him, and some of his songs (I am was born in 67). Listening to many of his songs tonight. I think he may have been a bit of an optimistic tortured soul.

  5. I can relate to this song so much.
I can’t make friends; I have social anxiety; every attempt to interact with people is rejected; the few friends I make ghost on me; I never have anything to look forward to.
