Yeah, I can't really lift weights while high. Maybe stretch and mobility work, but nothing high intensity. Unfortunately, for all its benefits, I'm just one of those people that gets lazy and unmotivated and just wants to watch movies and play video games when I'm high. And I eat, boy do I eat. Needless to say, because of my lack of moderation, I had to give it up entirely almost three years ago. ππΆ
Hilariously unexpected to get a little driving glove update after all this time. πAlso really hope Justin's boy is ok.
The best and oldest example of broscience that worked, was caveman smashing holes in another cavemans head to let the demons out. They did this because the other caveman was in immense pain in the head. What actually was happening, was there was an incredibly increase in pressure inside the skull, and after smashing it open, they released the pressure, and many survived.
Obviously there were no demons, but the fact was then, and now, that the biggest pioneers are simply the ones that try tons and tons of shit and eventually some sticks. They don't know why, or how it works, just that it does, so they do it. Just like shocking the muscle to stimulate growth.
To add on as well about the fasted cardio in the morning, yes it pushes calories further back in the day, and increases activity, but it also is hard to do, and if you're constantly doing that, you're more likely to stick to your diet better, and as a result get better/faster results.
The Bibles are simply a set of rules for society to follow, and if you follow them, society will generally run better. That's why it's been such a big thing for so long. It promotes community with churches as well, and even though many rules seem silly, it makes sense if you see them as simply entry rules to be a part of the community, and the more difficult it is to be a member of a community, the stronger the community is, and the stronger a community is, the more efficient, and longer lasting it will be.
Trend of breathing science is on the grow… when I listened to you guys it reminded me of TED Talk. https://youtu.be/vuIlsN32WaE What do you think of this and could their be active breathing to aid in wright loss. 85%ish of fat burned is breathed out!.?
You guys provide tremendous value to us , thank you . I had the best laughs of this year with your jokes on this episode. Let's keep progressing together. We must continue to be focused , disciplined, and consistent with our actions.
I went to a Franco Columbu seminar in the late 80s. He told a story of him and Arnold experimenting with weed and training. They smoked a bunch in Arnold's VW bug in the Golds Gym parking lot. Arnold was too baked and bailed on training that day. Franco went in to train delts. He said he picked up the 80lbs DBs and cranked out a set. He thought this was great, he felt so strong. On his next set, he couldn't get the 80s off the rack. He tried the 70s. Same thing. He kept going down every set of DBs until he got to the 20s. Did a set of a few reps, like about 3or4 then abandoned it and the whole workout that day. And so that ended his experiment with weed as a PED. It was a great story and great seminar.
5:45 the way I have began to explain it to my friends now is Spiritual health is basically emotional health. Spirituality is just a more wu wu way of saying mental health lol
I love when you guys talk about the cold plunge! It's the most harious Southern California thing I've heard in years! The fact that you are setting up anything related to cold in your Utah house, hilarious. If I rent that house in January, your intro should just say "walk outside for 90 seconds at 630 am". The first video I watched with you guys talking about this, it was -17 outside. I'm sure there are tons of benefits, it's just hilarious that people who live in warm climates are marketing it.
Bro cold plunges are like drinking 10 cups of coffe!! The thing I tell people is you'll never get out not smiling from ear to ear and feeling accomplished!
Sal says imagine a pharma exec debating to push an effective anxiety reducing drug with addictive and harmful side effects, like that doesn't already exist. It's called Xanax
I used to take Ativan and Lexapro for anxiety. I never considered myself a heavy drinker, but once I cut out alcohol for good my anxiety disappeared – just sayin. Very happy to be med free!
I recently started listening to you guys, thank you for all you do for us, Iβve been suffering from anxiety, because of you guys i started doing strength training and I can see a change in 3 weeks so far, I could really use and benefit from your Maps strong please help me out!! I just took a week off with training to setup my dad in hospice. When I got back to training, I was the strongest Iβve been in my life.

Learned breathing habits way back in martial arts when I was a kid… so much value.
I think it's funny that you say you don't recommend hanging leg raises when they are part of your Anabolic workout
Sal says imagine a pharma exec debating to push an effective anxiety reducing drug with addictive and harmful side effects, like that doesn't already exist. It's called Xanax
Am I over training by doing jiu jitsu 3x times a week and maps anabolic 3x a week?
Fun show Guys ! β€β€β€
I was running on the dreadmill and just about fell off laughing at Justin's horse story. π
