Shelf life isn’t the key. Grape seed is primed to quicker oxidation and going rancid. It’s more likely to go and sooner. Now I personally don’t care if folks use it or not. Never cared. It wouldn’t be a topic if people stopped talking about it.
I think you're right. You like what you like and people need to use what works for their Beards! Your research is BANG ON! Expiry dates matter and shelf life does too! This is why I'll always keep it small batch, I have so much more quality control than having some big mass produced operation where things just sit on a shelf! Awesome video. I also know companies that went bad within the year and I had to get rid of them.
The only grape seed I have is from Luxurious Bastard. But the shelf life is long. I have had oils for 3 years and still good. But I did finish them.
