  1. for me the symptoms match up, but the timing doesn't. not only does it happen much rarer(weeks apart sometimes) but it's also a brief moment, not even a full second. i'm also a highschooler and the age group does not match either. i can't find anything like it

  2. I was diagnosed with this when i was little, about 9 or 10 i think. Ten years have passed and it's fully treated. I used to take medication for about 2-3 years i think (I don't really remember) but once i took my medication, from the very first day i stopped having such episodes. To me, it was only zoning out. I could be talking with someone and out of the blue, I'd stop talking and I'd stare. Just a blank stare, for a few seconds and then I'd zone in again. In my case i knew and i could understand that i was zoning out but i couldn't stop it myself, or anyone else around me. Even if you snapped your fingers or whatever, it wouldn't do nothing. It took seconds. I remember i stayed for about two weeks in the hospital so they could make the best diagnosis. I remember, my mom was really scared about my future, for example pregnancy etc but my neurologist told her that there's nothing to worry about my future. Since we rushed to see what was happening to me, and we started the medication early, there's nothing to worry about! Once i finished my medication, I would just go to the hospital to do EEG's just for check ups for about once a year for 2 years. To be honest, it was really hard before the medication as for school. Not so much about the classes but just because i knew that the seizure was happening i was embarrassed and afraid that my friends or other kids would make fun of me. I did have one episode like this and i felt really bad. But please, don't feel bad. This is treatable. And with the right medication and the right neurologist to guide you, you'll find a way out!

  3. When I was about 1 or 11 months old I cracked my head on a coffee table and that kinda triggered my brain but then a few months later I fall back in my high chair and then I got epilepsy. Thankfully I recovered at 3 but my and dad always are watch my every move and they hate it when I go out to skateboard even out side my house. It can get annoying but I totally understand why they baby me all the time

  4. I Feel Like I Started Having These Late 14 In Age? Currently 15 And Im Not Sure What Causes It, But Its Not Diagnosed Yet So Im Not Sure
Very Light Though, Only Lasts For Around 3 Seconds

  5. I don't know what it was that I experienced but I'm trying to figure it out. Maybe someone in the comment section can help me out.
I was driving to work one day and suddenly I felt like my body started to tingle, then my foot stiffened while everything got very noisy inside my head like a static sound of an old tv as my vision dimmed out and then I saw absolute darkness at 9 in the morning. If my eyes were closed I wouldnt know. It felt like I was floating as it was happening, and couldnt have lasted more than 30 seconds before I started to come back. Have you ever gone on a sling shot amusement park ride or seen the videos? The put you in a ball, stretch out a rubber rope and let you fly up and then back towards the ground? If you have or seen someone in a video sometimes they black out due to gforce? i can only imagine thats what I experienced and looked like since thats kinda how it felt.
But I was not aware of anything and caused a huge accident that totalled my car and landed me in a hospital for a few injuries. I have no idea what happened. I dont remember. I dont even know if my eyes were open cause I could not see anything. I just remember turning and probably 1 or 2 minutes later I was tossed and turned over in a field a few feet from a nursing home entrance.
Then about 2 weeks later a family member recorded me staring off and suddenly talking to her but it was word salad. Not a thing I said was a real sentence, just words and it sounded like I was trying to repeat a story I had read earlier that day.

  6. I just heard of this in the last week. I’m 55 & think I may have been have some problem like this all my life! I never heard of it before! I hope my life can get better.

  7. My daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy. The neurologist was very confident about the diagnosis based, my Daughter had an EEG (no idea if it showed anything; we were tired and may have misunderstood what he said about that). MRI was negative for problems. For the past 4 months or so, I have seen weekly occurrences, making strange faces (this involved cheek twitching and lip quivering). We did not realize it could be a serious problem until she had an obvious seizure (simple partial) last week. What is troubling about my daughter condition is that we have seen many daytime seizures, and that recently the seizures seem to cluster together. No idea if there are seizures occurring at night. We were given a prescription for Kapra, but are still weighing the risk / rewards of giving the medication to a toddler. After returning from the hospital, my daughter experienced a round a vomiting lasting from 3 AM to 11 AM, followed by additional vomiting the following morning at around 2 AM. Nothing sense then. She has not had an appetite, is drinking fine, and otherwise appears healthy. I read a lot of blogs where people who shared their testimonies kept mentioning Anti-seizure Herbal medication. I searched for a website I just followed the email address of Doctor Patrick that was shared on these testimonies; I got lucky when I got a reply from Dr. Patrick. I followed his instruction, used Herbal Medicine in less than 2 months, my daughter seizures reduced drastically. Within a period of 5 months, my daughter was cured. I went back to my neurologist, where my daughter checked up and marked epilepsy free. If you need his help you can Contact this herbal doctor via his email herbalmedicalhome@gmail.com and WhatsApp connection is +2348102558553 for help.

  9. I have petit Mal seizures meaning I have to keep going to doctors and I space out and start for a few seconda my grandma or mom has to tap me 3 times for a few seconds in order for me to go back to normal and I take medication

  10. I went to a physiologist for my anxiety and a health insurance thing and she's the one who caught it. She was very firm about it because she said I was textbook. The only specialist who would do an EEG on me on such short notice did one for 20 minutes and said the shrink must be crazy even though he was only in the room with me for maybe ten minutes and barely looked at me that whole time.
I'm tempted to try and get another eeg done just because I would like the official confirmation that I'm not, in fact, crazy.

  11. My younger brother is suffering from the same …he got his treatment but when he finished his course of medicines after 4 yrs…it started to happen again…..isn't is curable ???

  12. Finally it changed to grand mall and now I have to eat ethusuximide and levebel fortunately I don’t have grand mal seizures anymore but petit mal seizures bother me

  13. I first got an absence seizure when I was around 11. It presented right after my first period. I don't know if you can "grow it out" because in my case, it hasn't been cured.

I am from Mexico City and here medicine gets taken for granted so doctors just quickly said I had epilepsy and gave me medicine because I've had 4 serious seizures but never specified what kind of epilepsy.

When I was growing up I felt so lonley and insecure because nobody had what I have and this in Mexico is still very new. I'm so happy I've found videos like this one.

  14. It happens me but is hard to explain.

    But I'm 19
    I have it since I was 13 Almost 14.

I have a question it happens because people are very anxious and nervous.

  15. I don't know if I have those seziures but it happened really rarely. what it feels like is i black out then I come back again but I was awake all that time. It happened to me when I was on holiday I was alone in the hotel room and it happened and I heard my family knock on the door and they said they had been knocking for 5 minutes when I thought they only knocked once.. can someone explain to me what is going on?

  16. So, when someone have an absence seizure, what is the person thinking about? Because there have been constant times when someone is talking to me and then all of a sudden I'll start thinking of something completely different, then I'll come back and forget what we're talking about. But I think that just might be adhd. So when a person is having an absence seizure do they just think about other things or do they think about absolutely nothing?

  17. Wow. I do that all the time. In the car. At school. While walking and suddenly stop. While writing. Basically with everything including chewing my food. I must have seizures all the time then.

  18. I think I have these I had experiences in the past but now I find myself spacing or zoning out several times a day. Like when my fiancee is talking to me and and I zone out and he's like babe, babe did you hear me I'm like what?? or blink rapidly…or could be walking and space out and end up a block ahead of where I was supposed to go. or in the bus and miss my stop my hubby thinks I'm a air head.
