  1. 2 mastiffs on prednisone. One died of a heart attack. The other one died in a house fire. He changed from a loving dog to a grumpy dog on prednisone. We were on a business trip when the house burned in a forest fire. He went right into a burning garage and died. Everyone was afraid of him he was so grumpy. Was wonderful and friendly off the meds. I learned a lot that summer and i will have nothing to do with prednisone or other drugs. I go to a Naturopath and i use naturopathy on everybody except hubby who trusts medicine and doctors.

  2. #1) Rimadyl (anti inflammatory)

    #2)Trifaxis, NexGard& Bravecto (flea & tick meds)

#3) Apoquel & Cytopoint (allergy meds)

    #4) Prednisone (steroid)

#5) Trimethoprim Sulfa, Baytril, Metronidazole & Flagyl (Antibiotics)

  3. The vet put my doc sent on rimadyl years ago and when I told you about it you told me to ask for metcam. This gave my dog's three more years of life and I thank you

  4. I also like Oregano oil capsules for a host of pathogens. Safe, works really well. I remember reading about the use of sage oil, oregano oil and grapefruit seed extract in the cattle and chicken industry as an effective antibiotic agent against many pathogens a couple of decades ago.

  5. Drugs all coming back to bite us all. Off topic of this video, I tried a small dose of magnesium for my senior Carin. It has had a very positive effect. She is just happier, seems to have better mental clarity and engages more with my younger dog. Going to look into CBDā€™s

  6. My dog has sebaceous adenitis confirmed by biopsy. He has been prescribed a myriad of topical treatments, baths , several oils, 10000 unit vit A and cyclosporine modified. The cyclosporine sounds like it would have similar side effects as apoquel. Am I correct? They want him on it for at least 6 months to a year. We are on month 3. Do I need to ask for kidney function bloodwork? Or do I need to get him off of it? He had the condition for over a year before a specialist diagnosed it. I have some faith in this vet because he could have charged me for all the allergy testing and he didn't. He also will save me a visit and a charge for the next follow up if things are looking promising, he said I can email him.

  7. You have helped us so much! I have a puppadoo, Bodhi, with idiopathic epilepsy and a recent diagnosis of mast cell tumor (he just had surgery this past Monday)ā€¦ he was sent home from surgery with cephalexin and carprofenā€¦ What could I include in his food to support rebuilding his gut biome?
His current diet includes: Dr. Harveyā€™s paradigm, bone broth with shiitake mushroom, organic pumpkin, salmon and krill oil, CBD full spectrum, flax oil, MCT oil, and boiled turkey.ā€¦ I have seen some people add ricotta or cottage cheese to the dietā€¦ Is this something you would do?
Iā€™ve also noticed some yellowing on his paw padsā€¦ Wondering if he might have a zinc deficiency and would it be harmful to add zinc to his list of supplements?
    I appreciate you so much!
    Thank you for Being šŸ™ā¤ļøāœØ
    Love, Bodhi and I

  8. What can you do though when your pets are suffering and natural remedies have failed? What choice is left? You cannot just let them suffer. I'm in a quandry now with flea bite allergy in my girl. Natural flea products have only ended up in a flea infestation!!! I'm at wits end and really use some advice.

  9. I wish we had more vets like you that arenā€™t afraid of telling the truth about these unnecessary medications for our beloved animals , it seems like vets are out to get your money and not have a heart for your animals , your the BEST ANDREW šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™

  10. My vet prescribed Rimadyl to my dog after she was spayed. She got so sick, I had to take her back because she was so nauseous and painful and dehydrated. They put her on a narcotic pain med, but told me to keep giving her Rimadyl! She has been vomiting for 4 days! I am so mad

  11. I didn't learn anything new from this video that my vet hasn't already told me. I'm going to guess that this video was created because some vets aren't making owners aware of these risks before prescribing. If so, that is very sad.

  12. My dog has been on Apoquel for years. Iā€™ve always been reluctant to give it to her knowing how bad it is but she has seen little to no relief from Quercetin (which I still continue to give her), local honey, coconut oil, etc. Iā€™m about to try Slippery Elm, not just for the allergies but also for her susceptibility to bladder inflammation (and probably stones have returned again). I pray it helps.

I noticed over time the Apoquel doesnā€™t work like it used to as her allergies are getting even worse. I used to be able to get away with a half dose every other day from July till October. As the years went on and she got vax injured, she required more each year. Now her allergies are out of control all year round. She requires a full dose daily besides the homeopathic medicines I give for allergies and even then she gets little relief. But if I skip one day, she eats herself alive!

Between her allergies and UTI issues Iā€™m at my wits end trying mostly natural remedies to do as little harm as possible.
Iā€™m hoping the Slippery Elm is able to control everything going on with her. She will get her first dose with tonightā€™s dinner.

Iā€™ve also switched her food to limited ingredients and no grains. Iā€™m hearing that the raw diet is the way to go. Thatā€™ll probably be the next thing Iā€™ll try.

Does anyone reading this have any other advice for me? I want her completely off the Apoquel but I donā€™t know how itā€™s possible right now.
Sheā€™s 8 years old and if I lose her my heart will be smashed. Every time I give her a dose I think ā€œhereā€™s your poison!ā€ šŸ˜¢

  13. ā¤need your professional help, my cat was prescribed by the vet apoquel 5.4 mg (1/2 tablet by mouth every 24hr. Long term or until otherwise directed. Now my cat is loosing his fur, they done tests and they don't know what is wrong with him. All his tests come out fine. They told me it could be environmental issues. Please, please advise I adopted this gorgeous black year old cat that didn't had any health problems to see my little darling like this. I'm very appreciative for your time to answer and give me some advice. God bless. Thank you.

  14. ALL DRUGS ARE BAD FOR YOUR PETS!!! THERE IS NOTHING GOOD COMING FROM BIG PHARMA!!
    N O T H I N G!!!

My dog nearly died 4 years ago due to about 5 idiots of vets all giving her different diagnoses! All had just 1 solution: painkillers!! And every vet another brand painkiller!!
I threw away all the drugs worth 1200 euros and start treating my dog myself with herbs! She is turning 15 this year and has never been sick again! Running and jumping around as a 4 year old dog.

And may l be clear: never ever again will she see a vet!!

Stay away from these legal drug dealers!!

  15. It is perfect that you give healthy options, but you cannot supplement your way out of a bad diet. Unless people feed species appropriately, healthy options barely work. Pet owners need to feed fresh, raw species appropriately to make supplements work. Kibble can't aid supplements.

  16. We have a product here locally called Las Vegas Allergy Mix. Worked for me and said safe for pets. It turned out to be the best thing I could have given my dog and it worked fast! I donā€™t know if they have similar products elsewhere, but worth checking out.

  17. Enjoy your videos. This one is one of your best. šŸ† Would love to know more on this subject, especially more things that would be safer. Ex. arthritis meds, allergies, etc. I know you have done some other great videos on holistic medicine.

  18. We had our dog on Apoquel and he got a hystiocytoma. I didn't correlate it to the Apoquel until he got ANOTHER one 4 months later! Histiocytoma's RARELY happen more then once. I immediately stopped the use of it once I made the correlation even though the vet said that couldn't be it. He hasn't had one since and it's been a year and a half.

  19. You scared the crap out of me with that Triflexis stuff. My dog is 19 1/2 and has been taking it for over 4 years. I canā€™t watch your content anymore. I thought I was killing my dog. Talked to several vets including my sister. The medication is fine. Iā€™m an anxious person anyway, I donā€™t need the extra worry of thinking Iā€™m going to kill my babies.

  20. My question is what can I use for my dog instead of apoquel, which only has slight benefit anyway but poor girl is driven mad with itchy ears. She is on a good quality raw diet and takes fish oil and I use homeopathic remedies at times, I really am at a loss of what to do. I have seen a homeopathic vet but unfortunately the ear problem wasnā€™t solved ( other problem was solved). Also what to use instead of Bravecto . I would be very grateful for any help šŸ¾šŸ¾
