Cannabutter (bud/flower): ¼ c butter ¾ c water
Decarb flower at 240F for 35 mins. Heat butter and water on low heat until the temperature is sitting around 185-200F. Add in decarbed weed and infuse for 2.5-3 hours, stirring regularly and maintaining the 185-200F temperature. Once infused, strain out weed and refrigerate butter/water until butter has solidified on top of the water.
Cookies: ¼ c cannabutter 2.5 shortening ½ c + 2 tbsp sugar 1 egg 1.5 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt 1 ¼ c cake flour
1. Cream together cannabutter and shortening until well combined. 2. Whisk in sugar, egg, and vanilla. 3. Whisk in baking powder, salt, and cake flour. 4. Cover and freeze dough for 2 hours. 5. Portion out dough once cooled and roll into balls. Flatten balls into discs and place on baking sheet. 6. Bake at 350'F for 10-12 mins or until they're just starting to turn golden on the edges.
Icing: 2.5 tbsp butter 2.5 tbsp shortening 1.5 tbsp milk 1 tsp vanilla ⅛ tsp salt 1.5-2 c powdered sugar
1. Whisk together butter and shortening until well combined. 2. Add in milk, vanilla, salt, and mix thoroughly. 3. Whisk in powdered sugar until you've reached your desired consistency. 4. Ice cookies once fully cooled. 5. Send a picture to @hazy.kitchen on instagram
