Bought this in a "levagen" version combined with hemp oil, which would be related indeed. I used to take CBD on a daily basis for health & pain etc and alltho I believe it's healthy, didn't really feel direct effects of it, I think cannabis should be taken as a whole not just CBD. A doctor prescribed me PEA and I'm curious to how it will help my chronic pain. Heard good reviews about it but I think it will be not powerful enough for me but ok. (I also take Kratom daily which is a natural opiate). doctor that prescribed me is a homeopath, he has also given me Red Coral in 1 dose & Cheledonius majus but both that i hardly felt anything. Think I might resort too to pure cannabis with my desktop vaporizer, with waterpipe. or perhaps an opiod medication if needed.
PEA really shines in neuropathic pain, mood and anxiety, as well as sleep quality. It isn't meant for a 'high' or immediate effect, but for long term mast cell stabilization and pain relief/nerve function. Long term inflammation reduction too.
My wife has suffered with chronic pain for years, as she has psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. We feel like we've tried a lot of things and CBD was one of them, but it just got too expensive for quality supplies. But I can say that PEA supplements have really started to make a difference. It's not an overnight/instant fix. It takes a while to get in your system. We've been using MIRICA brand and it's made a noticeable difference in her pain levels.
It works perfectly. Not the same results with CBD for sure. CBD didn’t put a dent in my pain control.
Read a review where the reviewer stated it could take weeks to realize the full effect.
