You may want to check out, The Foot Collective and also ATG or The Knees Over Toes Guy. I have a hip and femur replacement (2004); in 2014 I went to the doctor for midfoot instability and was put into a cam boot, over the course of the next 6 months I developed a talon navicular calcaneal cuboid joint dislocation. I was booked for surgery by one doctor and I was also told by another doctor that I would lose my leg if I had surgery due to complications of diabetes and peripheral neuropathy. After 5 years in an afo on my right foot my left foot, the leg with the hip and femur, developed mid-foot instability as well. I was put in an orthotic, then eventually another afro after spending a few years in bilateral afo braces I realized I was following a recipe for wheelchair. I have spent the last few years trying to undo the atrophy that the braces caused which exacerbated the structural issues that I have. Long story short I work out and walk a few miles everyday brace free orthotic free and my shoe rotation consists of basketball shoes for lifting weights and Altra shoes for walking. I have started backwards as well due to the teachings of Ben Patrick. I look forward to the day when my feet are strong enough to incorporate the exercises that I see taught on the Foot Collective Channel.
excellent video with great presentation, really easy to understand and apply. I've used trilocks and taping for years and it has helped tremendously. oh, and good shoes with store bought lifts have been so helpful. Dr. Tom showed me how to tape and exercises that have helped. will check out the other vids you mentioned if I haven't already. thanks for the helps, hope people are listening, cause the advice and direction is great
My feet have been flat all my life. My footprints look like Bigfoot…lol! I have severe over pronation in my right foot, instep actually protrudes sideways. I have custom orthotics. I do start having hip pain if I don't wear them. Saucony shoes really work for me.
