I have a very serious doubt ,I am a student of science and am very inspired by revolutionary ideas. Recently I dwelled in these matter of inner self and all.I have came across videos where people tell that when you are silent many secrets open to you. Do you think its true because what I felt when ai was silent was infinite hapiness for myself and not answer to questions that theoritical physics and pure mathematics is trying to answer. So is it that they are befooling us or it is really possible
NIBBANUM PARAMUN SUKUM CHAKUN BHIKKAWE PURANA KAMMUN CHAKKUN NAMAGYATHI WHEN THE MIND STOPPED, ( SAMADI,) GREAT CONCENTRATION ABLE TO REACH NIBBANA.YES DIFFICULT TO EXPLAINE. BHAWA NIRODO JATHI NIRODA. THERUWANSARANAI THANK YOU FIR YOUR HARD WORK ⚘⚘⚘⭐⭐⭐🙏🙏🙏
I have a question Bhante. Why does a monk have to recite the Pathimokkha and what is the benefit of doing that? And what happens if a monk becomes forgetful while reciting? Thank you Bhante.
Q and A Q1. What is Nibbana? 2:24 Q2. Overcoming addiction 19:57 Q3. Walking meditation 23:42 Q4. Phra Dan’s surgery 31:32 Q5. Dependent origination 34:28 Q6. Absorptions 38:24 Q7. Leg numbness in meditation 43:33 Q8. Bowing to the Buddha 46:24 Q9. Nicotine and coke 49:48
I wonder if there are any practices that can be used to develop Saddha? Something to strenghten and to make Saddha firm, so that it won't be forgotten in the midst of the mundane daily lay life?
Nibbana is the state where the overshadowing of like habitual rituals (mathematics?) overshadows the nightmare nature nurture of the mind, and it's herd individual ill rationals? Eh? ❤️🔥👻👻🙏
For anyone who's interested in further study, I'm reading a very interesting book about how Buddhism fits into our current times and in the west. It's called "Secular Buddhism" by Stephen Batchelor. I'm about half way in and the book has prompted me to examine how Buddhism takes shape in my life in ways I probably wouldn't have thought to consider. The rest of the book promises to be just as useful.
FYI, there's a long intro and a chapter on a monk named Nanavira that you can skip, in my opinion, as neither seem too relevant to the rest of the book. But what do I know? Maybe those chapters will be of interest to you so nevermind 😂.
Wise comparation with nibbana. Tanks a Lot. I remember some sutta where Buddha asking some question a sariputa or kasyapa and his answer Just showing a flower
Bhante, is the cessation of feeling and perception the experience that results in being an arahant or anagami? Or are these attainments just necessary to access that state?
Top notch well done Phra Dan🎯
always good to see you Banthe!

peace>happiness, how does a monk find fulfilment, meditations and good character/conduct?
