How wicked and sick is this? If we ever want a CA legal market that actually makes a profit we have to LOWER THE TAXES!!! Then remove the corporations and make it easier for regular people to start a farm or dispensary. Not only will cannabis companies actually make a profit but the state will make waaaay more money in taxes.

The problem with legalisation is that it does not work, and normalises the use of dangerous substances with significant negative health, economic and societal impacts. Enter the capitalists, who would make money from anything, as long as it is legal, and regardless of consequences beyond their balance sheets. On top of that, add a society that has become so indulgent, so focused on "me", so determined on obtaining short-term gratification and pleasure, so unable to apply critical-thinking and so blind to the devastation caused by illegal and legal trades, that we are allowing vast groups of people to become dependent on drugs, to alter their psychology and psychosis, and to affect their DNA for the worse. Sadly, this may also impact their children, specifically those unborn, because of variations in their parents' DNAs.
